After a strong weekend of =tournament play at the Grit Region Finals here is a list of some of the top shooting performances from games I watched.

[player_tooltip player_id='1677420' first='Dereon' last='Brown'] [program_tooltip program_id='2440586' first='B3' last='Athletics'] 5'11 (MI) 2026

Brown had the best shooting performance of the weekend. He made eight 3's in 1 game during bracket play against Basketball Paradise. He is a catch-and-shoot guard who gets his feet set and lets it loose. Dereon is good because he knows how to space away from the ball. Small school prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560689' first='Richie' last='Romero'] [program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane'] 5'10 (WI) 2028

Romero is a freshman guard who is playing up on the 17u level. He made his living from the three-point line running to the line in transition and knocking down threes. On Sunday Romero made six triples. That's quite a performance for a freshman playing up two levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397705' first='Noah' last='Therapos'] [program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'] 5'10 (IL) 2026

Noah shot the ball well early against [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package']. In a game that wasn't very close, Therapos just kept making shots trying his best to will his team back into the game. He is a small guard who shoots it well on the move. He has fluid motion on the release and it looks like it's always going in when it comes out of his hands. Small schools would be wise to monitor him.

Gavin Whitaker 219 Elite 6'3 (IN) 2026

Whitaker is a big guard who can play on and off the ball. On the perimeter he's a spot shooter who always seems to be locked in on the target. On the opening night he made 4 three-pointers against [program_tooltip program_id='2539820' first='The' last='Academy'] Blue.

Kenaz Jackson 1Dream 6'4 (IL) 2026

Jackson is usually seen as a slasher but got his shot going from three in a blowout opening-round contest against All In. Kenaz is a fluid scorer that has improved the range on his shot this spring. He finished the game with 4 made threes and a couple of tough drives in transition. Jackson is improving at just the right time before June.

[player_tooltip player_id='2045272' first='Takis' last='Tyler'] [program_tooltip program_id='2563276' first='Jay' last='Academy'] 6'0 (WI) 2026

Takis is a high-energy guard that can pass and score from all three levels. In his game versus the Hoop Stars he managed to drain three from deep playing a very fast-paced game. Tyler has the ability to pass, shoot, and defend while playing with a continuous motor. Takis is a kid that's fun to watch and will be a scholarship player after his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561924' first='Luke' last='Gundrum'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2496167' first='Pro' last='Lane']) 6'3 (WI) 2026

Gundrum is a big guard who made four threes in a Sunday matchup with the El Paso Aztecs. He's a combo guard that moves well when off the ball. He made a couple of shots from the corner and the others from the wing. Luke is good because he can shoot coming off flare screens and pin down actions. He is a typical Wisconsin guard who can get hot after seeing the ball go through the net a few times.
