Grind Region Finals: Impact Players That Made a Difference Sunday

He will pull up in defenders' faces if he feels like he has the room to shoot the ball. In terms of getting to the rim he has crafty ways of blowing by his defenders. Playing the guard position, he held his own on defense sticking to his assignments. Demonte can control the pace playing the point guard position making good reads throughout the weekend. He capitalized on transition opportunities by making plays for others with his passing and getting easy points in the paint laying the ball up. In the half court got into the lane easily at times blowing by some of the Cenla Hoops defenders with plenty of paint touches from him throughout the game. At times Dezmen will get into the mid-range if a drive to the rim isn't there. Defensively he does a great job of being physical on defense displaying good ball pressure on opposing ball handlers. On most of his opportunities offensively he attacked the basket with aggression even drawing contact in some of his drives. He had plenty of good rebounds and hustle plays on both ends of the floor making a huge impact. The reads he made passing the ball to his teammates were noticeable as well.
