Grassroots Team Spotlight: 417 Premier

Prep Hoops Missouri begins its spotlight of grassroots teams with a look at the [program_tooltip program_id='2856691' first='417' last='Premier'] 15U team out of the Springfield area. They had an impressive showing at the MADE Hoops xx xx in Chesterfield. Here is a look at the members of the team.    A 6'4" small forward who impressed me with his athleticism and constant activity. He is very effective around the basket as he can score with both hands while also getting putbacks off the offensive boards. He moves well without the ball and he can also hit the catch and shoot 3-pointer. He is a good athlete who just flows well within the offense.     A 6'0" guard who is very athletic on the wing and who loves to attack. His motor was constantly running. He is a good finisher in transition and his float game in the lane was very effective as well. He was very good on defense at the top of the full court press where he was disruptive with his length and excellent timing to get deflections.     A solidly built 6'0" point guard who is appropriately named because his game is well school in the fundamentals. He handles the ball, passes it well and make sure the offense flows. He uses his body for good positioning on his drives to the basket or to post up smaller defenders. He shoots the 3-pointer well and he is also a solid rebounder.     A 6'0" point guard who plays a very solid game as a ball handler and passer. He also plays well without the ball with his movement and ability to finish of his good cutting ability. He can also slash to the basket effectively and he was good at splitting the double team on the way to the basket.     A 6'0" guard who is a good athlete who makes things happen at both ends of the court. When left open, he was knocking down 3-pointers. He made good hustle plays as he got offensive rebounds and loose balls to get his team extra possessions.     A 6'1" guard who is very effective because he plays at his own pace. He is physically strong and he's crafty with the ball in his hands. He knows how to draw contact when he goes on the drive. He was also knocking down the open line-drive jumper from 3-point range.     A 5'9" point guard who has good quickness and who distributes the ball very well. He has a nice pull up jumper in the lane where he gets good elevation. He was also hustling on the defensive end and getting to loose balls.
