Last year's Hoop Summit event was a resounding success according to coaches, players and BlueChips staff. The event was full of college level players especially in the top division which last year saw 16 our of 18 2025 participants end up with offers by today which shows the invites were going to the right players. College coaches have been able to use that event to get their first in person look at prospects and later follow up during high school season and in most cases come in with an offer. The event even saw one offer on the spot to one of the players that had performed that day. This year's event is should be no let down as BlueChips staff have invited over 150 of the top players in WV, OH, PA, KY and MD. Here's the earliest of the registrations listed below.

[player_tooltip player_id='2634565' first='Kaiden' last='Harris'] comes into the Hoop Summit absolutely on fire since the beginning of 2025 and will participate for the first time. Harris has picked up his first offer and played very well in this spring AAU offseason and looks to carry that into the August event in Morgantown WV. We think coaches will be pleasantly surprised when they get to see Harris perform in person, especially with his motor and willingness to be coached.

[player_tooltip player_id='2621982' first='Preston' last='Watkins'] caught our eye in January and followed up with several big scoring games in varsity time for John Marshall. Watkins is a developing offensive threat with an impressive stroke from downtown who could quickly develop into one of 2028's upper echelon players. This will be Watkins first appearance at the Hoop Summit event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2345856' first='Nymir' last='Bryant'] has been posting big numbers since December but really came to the forefront after an absolute dominating performance at the Shootout at WV State in February where he had a huge points/rebounds double/double and introduced himself to the rest of the state. Bryant has the body and athleticism to develop into one of the state's premier bigs and will likely get on some radars quickly August 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='2464880' first='Mydan' last='Oglesby'] makes a return to the Hoop Summit after being part of a very talented 2028 group last year that performed exceptionally at the Hoop Summit. Oglesby has been nothing short of consistent and efficient since November. He spent the entire season as the starting point guard at Winfield and continued that momentum into AAU season for Bryce Radford Elite.

[player_tooltip player_id='2870512' first='Jacob' last='Vaughn'] has been evaluated from tape study as well as live via steam which is what led us to extend the invite. Vaughn looks to have a solid stroke from three as well as gets to the bucket when run off the three point line. Vaughn will be making his Hoop Summit debut on August 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='2615796' first='Levi' last='Lewis'] is one of the guys we're really looking forward to seeing in August. We were able to watch him via stream a few times this past season and though he was ahead of schedule for a 2027 in alot of ways. Lewis does a great job handling ball pressure, has a nice quick release from deep, doesn't mind getting paint touches and most impressively does an incredible job of moving without the ball to find open spots for kickouts and ball reversals. His game looks very solid and we're excited about seeing him in person.

[player_tooltip player_id='2434792' first='Marshall' last='Summers'] is one of the most anticipated players on this list as he's developed in to a slick shooting wing with great length that many coaches desire. Summers returns to the Hoop Summit after an impressive showing last year and quite honestly has been impressive since in every event and game. Summers seems to have continued a hot streak into AAU season and hopes to bring that to Morgantown August 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='2869971' first='Kash' last='Jenkins'] is a player who's most recently came onto our radar. His tape looks fabulous and his very quick lateral movement really stands out immediately. Jenkins has a quick and compact release from deep and a nice downhill game to the basket. We'll be very excited to see him in person on August 2 in Morgantown.

[player_tooltip player_id='2434921' first='Cayden' last='Arnold'] makes his return to Mylan Park August 2 for the Hoop Summit after being part of the super talented 2027 group that participated last year. Arnold had a solid year for state runner-up Tucker County and continues to develop his game through AAU season with WV Reign Elite. Arnold is another who could develop into a solid point or combo type guard in the next year and help continue Tucker's dominance in WV Single A.

[player_tooltip player_id='2715910' first='Jerin' last='Westfall'] is yet another player who made a big introduction to much of the state during the Shootout at WV State in February. Westfall creates and scores with dominating use of his size and length coupled with well above average athleticism. Westfall will make his debut in front of us as well as several college coaches on August 2 while making his first Hoop Summit appearance.
