ANAHEIM — Last weekend marked the first live viewing period of the spring where college coaches of all levels were packed in gyms across the country to evaluate and recruit prospects. We stayed on the West Coast and started our own evaluating at Open Gym Premier in Anaheim where the adidas 3SGB teams were competing. Below are our Friday night wing, forward and center standouts.

Alex Elliot | 2026 | Jamal Shead Elite (TX)

Elliott is a versatile wing who, at 6-feet-6, is a consistent floor-stretching three-point shooter off the catch. The junior out of San Antonio has fluid, fundamental and repeatable mechanics with deep and multiple spot consistency from behind-the-arc. Eliiot is a high IQ floor spacer as evidenced by his off-ball movement and ability to give guards a good angle to make a pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571712' first='Aman' last='Haynes'] | 2025 | California Gold

Haynes was unsigned at the time of this event but has since committed to a strong NAIA program, Hope International University, in Southern California. The Royals are getting a productive player who combines strength, skill, athleticism and an endless motor. Haynes is best as a transition slasher and finisher in transition but is also a capable three-point shooter off the catch with time and space.

[player_tooltip player_id='2148482' first='Collin' last='Simmons'] | 2026 | SUSA Gold (UT)

Simmons is a highly-skilled forward who impressed with his ability to catch, gather and finish around the rim as both a cutter and when rolling or slipping out of ball screens. The 6-foot-7 forward has a long, wiry frame, is a dexterous athlete with good balance, footwork and hands and uses those physical and athletic tools to be an efficient paint finisher.

Dwayne Boston | 2025 | FUEL

Boston was all over the floor Friday night and his combination of quick-twitch and pogo stick athleticism made him one of the best at-rim finishers that we saw in this event. The 6-foot-5 unsigned senior ran the floor with purpose in transition which resulted in a handful of easy transition buckets and showed the ability to get by defenders off the bounce in half-court face-up situations with his quick first step and long strides to cover ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425677' first='Kawika' last='Suter'] | 2026 | California Gold

Suter's impact was felt in a variety of ways on the offensive end as his ability to make open shots off the catch and pull-up jumpers off the bounce at 6-feet-7. The junior out of Rolling Hills Prep has great feel when hunting his mid-range spots and elevating into his shot but is also a capable passer, creator and ball screener and pop threat.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956619' first='RJ' last='Miller'] | 2026 | 4S Elite | Pictured

Miller's combination of physicality, motor and willingness to do the dirty work makes him a highly productive forward. While he might be an undersized forward at 6-feet-4 he makes up for it with his ability to initiate, absorb and finish through contact. Miller can also pull bigger defenders away from the basket and use his ball skills to drive by his primary defender to get a paint touch.
