3Stripes Gold West 2 SoCal Standouts.

May 2-4 PH NorCal was in SoCal for the second session of the SoCal West 3Stripe event. All the action under one roof at Ladera Ranch Sports Complex. We got a chance to see some standouts from 3Stripe Gold, when were weren't watching 3SSB Teams from NorCal. Here are some of the standouts.    He's establishing himself as a hard to guard post player when he sets up on the low block. He gets wide, want the ball. He'll turn and go to the rim. He'll get rebounds at a good rate. He's a double double prospect at this level. He can work the baseline, hit the short corner jumpers, stay out for corner 3's, or use a dribble or two for finishes. He's moving better on the defensive side.     A big strong solid player with good basketball skills. He's a football player as well. He has some explosiveness going to the basket, using power, and his underrated handles from different angles. He threw one down attacking along the baseline. He's a problem in the post, when he plants himself, turns, and uses power to go the rim. He's an good passer, hit a corner 3. He'll rebound, and defend his position.     He's bulked up a bit, with improvement across the board. He's handling contact around the basket, going up strong, not bumped of balance. He's using improved handles to work along the perimeter, bring the ball up court, and get to the rim for buckets. He's playing more physical on both sides of the ball. He'll take the corner 3 if it's there, and make the extra pass.     He's coming into his own as a guard who can run the offense, but stay aggressive looking to put points on the board. A good ball handler with vision, he'll find open mates pushing it up in transition, along along the perimeter on drive and kicks. He's squaring up nice to knock down open 3's around the perimeter or coming down in transition. He can hit the mid-range off the dribble. He's getting up and defending hard.     He's a long rangy guard with good speed and ball handling. He makes aggressive moves going towards the basket for short jumpers, or layups attacking defenders. He has speed handling and passing it up in transition. He has quick movements to stick to ball handlers, and shooters when he locks in on defense. He'll look for his shots long or short, a willing passer.
