<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2216707' first='Nathan' last='Gonzales'], Robertson</strong>: Gonzales was one of Robertson's ‘Big 3' in the scoring column on the road to the Cardinals capturing the Class 3A state championship. The 6-foot-5 Gonzales averaged 12.4 points, a team-leading 7.2 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game as a sophomore. He contributed 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in the state championship game, </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2706580' first='Ryan' last='Hunt'], St. Michael's</strong>: Hunt was the leader of a St. Michael's team that advanced all the way to the Class 3A state championship game. The 6-foot-4 Hunt, also an elite defensive end for the Horsemen football team, led St. Michael's in scoring and rebounding. He posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Robertson in the 3A title game.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2706557' first='Noah' last='Lovato'], Rio Rancho</strong>: Whoever is hired as the new boys basketball coach at Rio Rancho will have a major piece to build around in 2024-25: Lovato. The 6-foot-4 rising junior averaged 11.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in just 17.3 minutes per game, so his production is very high when he's on the court. Expect Lovato's court time and scoring average to rise significantly in 2025-26. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2026077' first='Elijah' last='Martinez'], Cibola</strong>: Martinez began playing varsity as an 8<sup>th</sup> grader in 2022-23, and he's quickly developed intone of the top young guards in the entire state. Martinez led Cibola's revival season in 2024-25 by averaging 23.5 points and 4.0 assists per game. He earned Honorable Mention All-State honors. Martinez has already scored over 1,200 career points with two seasons remaining. Cibola won 18 games and qualified for last month's 5A state tournament.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2309741' first='Josiah' last='Wilson'], Bosque</strong>: Wilson earned Class 3A First-Team All-State honors after leading Bosque to 22 wins and the semifinals of the 3A state tournament. Wilson was named District 3A-5 Player of the Year. He averaged 14.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.4 steals per game as Bosque swept the district regular season and tournament titles. Bosque returns six of its top seven scorers in 2025-26, so the Bobcats will be favored to make another deep state tournament run. </p>
