After watching this past high school season, it's clear the 2028 class is loaded with talent—not just at the top, but across the board. This group features impressive size, high-level shooters, and dynamic guards with serious upside. While some names are already well known, there are several others who deserve more recognition. Here are some 2028 players who stood out and are poised to take on even bigger roles heading into their sophomore seasons.      A two-way athletic slashing guard who thrives getting downhill and finishing through contact. His strong frame allows him to defend multiple positions (1-3) and he brings consistent energy on the defensive end—one of the best defenders in his class. Offensively, he can knock down catch-and-shoot threes, create his own shot, and moves well without the ball to make himself a constant threat.     One of the best downhill attackers in this class. He goes at the rim with no hesitation and attacks every chance he gets. With a strong frame—especially for a freshman—he absorbs contact well and finishes through it. He also runs the floor hard and is a constant threat in transition.     A versatile combo guard who can score at all three levels—knocking down threes, mid-range jumpers, and finishing at the rim. He gets great elevation on his shot and creates well off the dribble. With a steady handle, he stays under control and makes smart decisions. On the defensive end, he's a scrappy on-ball defender who makes things tough for opposing guards.     He has a great feel for the game and plays with a lot of confidence every time he steps on the floor. He can operate on or off the ball, making him a flexible piece in any backcourt. When a basket is needed, he has the ability to create his own shot and step up in key moments. He scores it in multiple ways—knocking down catch-and-shoot threes, pulling up for mid-range jumpers off the dribble, and attacking the rim with control and touch.     A two-way guard who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He doesn't shy away from big moments and is comfortable taking shots when his team needs a basket. He can score on the perimeter with confident pull-up threes and also has the ability to get downhill and finish through contact. With a solid handle, he can operate on or off the ball, and he moves well without it—constantly putting himself in position to make plays     Very poised in his approach, yet a confident shot taker and maker. He can score off the dribble, knock down pull-up threes, or hit mid-range jumpers in rhythm. He's showcased the ability to be a solid playmaker, especially in transition, where he keeps his head up and looks to involve teammates. Someone I expect to be more involved at the varsity level heading into his sophomore year.     One of the top bigs in this class, he has great hands, runs the floor well, and brings versatility with the ability to score with his back to the basket or step out and stretch the floor from three. He doesn't shy away from contact and plays through it with toughness. On top of that, he can elevate above the rim and finish with authority
