Despite the result, the Northwest Shootout was an incredible experience for all of the members of Team Oregon. You don't have to ask [player_tooltip player_id='1496193' first='Alonzo' last='Hoff'] twice. The game was an opportunity for the Southridge standout to play one more time on the high school stage, this time with the state's best, and it was something he'll always remember.

"It was great as we were surrounded by all competitive guys, the best of the best," Hoff said. "We all played against each other at one point, so it was just nice to be on the same team playing against Washington."

Hoff was selected for the squad not only based on his high school achievements, but also for his size and athleticism to battle against Team Washington's big guys.
"I've got a few visits coming up - I've got West Valley (Junior) College in Cali, and then I might go to Seattle Pacific," Hoff said. "I'm bringing it down to a few schools, but I might go the JUCO route - whatever suits me the best."

Hoff broke down what his factors are when it comes to making a decision. "I definitely want a school that values development and when they look at me, they see potential to see what I can do," Hoff said. "Whether that's redshirt one year, playing the next year, whatever they do."
