Jones is an intriguing prospect who consistently produced for the talented Tre Mann Elite squad, which captured the eighth-grade crown at the “Kings of the South” event. The brother of former 4-star recruit Ryan Jones, Jr., the younger Jones possesses a more wing-oriented game. He flashed a smooth perimeter jumper off the catch and also displayed soft touch as a finisher in the lane. Jones also has a strong frame and a pedigree that suggests further growth is likely to occur. It's a compliment to say his game is still in its infancy, given the level of player he is today.

Few players have raised their profile more this spring when it comes to the Class of 2029 than Austin Leonard of Jet Academy (GA). The talented scorer has benefited from an additional dose of athleticism, now blending his stellar shotmaking abilities with above-the-rim explosiveness. Leonard brings a mature game to the floor, with pace and composure that are rare for a player of his youth. At “Kings of the South”, he was the unquestioned offensive leader for his team, providing timely buckets and consistent all-around scoring production. As he continues to enhance his playmaking and shot-creation skills off the bounce, Leonard should be regarded as an elite prospect among incoming high school freshmen.

The “Kings of the South” tournament provided an early look at Rice, and he made a strong impression in his pair of championship bracket games. A wiry backcourt prospect with emerging bounce and creativity, the South Carolina native elevates with ease, whether pulling up for a jumper or finishing above the rim in transition. Confident with the ball in the halfcourt, he's capable of creating for others but shines when shifting into scoring mode. If he proves capable of bringing the same approach and energy on defense, his stock would increase even more.

Wilson's abilities are no secret to youth hoops evaluators in the Peach State, but his profile hasn't risen to the level of some of his Class of 2029 in-state peers quite yet on the national scene. Regardless, his offensive prowess was as impressive as any player in the eighth-grade division at the “Kings of the South” event. Wilson is a crafty ball-handler with length and quick-twitch attributes that allow him to beat opponents off the bounce as a playmaker and also create separation for his reliable jumper. He competed with confidence and toughness and showed flashes of promise as a defender as well.

Wright is wired to score, and his GCBC squad gave him the freedom to shine in that role during the “Kings of the South” tournament, where they advanced to the eighth-grade semifinals in a stacked field. The talented Texan blended brain and brawn, showcasing his IQ and physicality throughout the weekend. Wright displayed his ability to knock down jumpers as well as his penchant for converting tough finishes in the lane. He was also active on both ends, consistently pursuing rebounds and making a determined effort to get back to the ball and stay involved offensively.
