<p>Below are 10 prospects from the region that recently announced their plans for next year.</p>

<p>A guard at <em>Oliver Ames</em>, Sorinmade announced his future plans with a commitment to the <strong><em>University of Massachusetts Boston</em></strong>. A strong defender that can guard either spot in the back-court, he impresses with his quickness laterally and ability to make opponents pick up their dribble. Offensively, he does a great job of putting pressure on the rim in transition and excels as a finisher. He can really shoot the basketball from behind the arc and even shows some playmaking ability with the basketball in his hands.</p>

<p>A big out of <em>St. Andrew's</em>, Scarborough came off the board with a commitment to <strong><em>Worcester Polytechnic Institute</em></strong>. A true big man with a big frame, he has the ability to carve out space on the offensive end of the floor and does his work early to establish good post position. He has good hands, catches almost everything thrown his way, and shows soft touch on his hook shots. He passes out of double teams, sets solid screens, and defensively, does a great job of walling up in the paint and rebounding in traffic.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Landon Bodington</span></strong></p>

<p>A guard from <em>North Kingstown</em>, Bodington made his college plans official with a commitment to <strong><em>Johnson & Wales University</em></strong>. A crafty scorer that knows how to read a defense, he has the strength needed to finish plays at the rim and the skill needed to score from all three levels. He can really shoot the ball in catch and shoot situations, does a nice job of getting his feet set on the catch, and attacks bad closeouts to get to the rim as a finisher. He makes plays for others with the ball in his hands and is a quality defender with his combination of strength and athleticism.</p>

A shifty, ball handling guard, he has the ability to operate as a primary creator or slide off the ball and fill a scoring role. He makes shots from behind the arc, gets into the paint off the bounce, and finishes with creativity and touch over size. Defensively, he can really guard the ball, making opponents work for every inch and creating plenty of steals and deflections in the process.</p>

A gifted scorer, he has good positional size, the length needed to defend multiple positions, and impressive athleticism as a finisher around the rim. He's added strength which has allowed him to finish through contact at the rim, while also showing the continued ability to knock down shots from behind the arc. He's a confident ball-handler that gets to his spots off the bounce and show the ability to make tough, contested mid-range jumpers.</p>

<p>A guard from <em>Premier Prep</em>, Lovejoy came off the board with a commitment to <strong><em>Dean College</em></strong>. A dynamic ball-handler, he does a great job of drawing help defenders and then finding teammates for easy scoring opportunities. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, knows how to score or facilitate out of ball screens, and has the ability to make plays in transition. As a scorer, he can finish over size with a variety of floaters or score in the mid-range or from behind the arc while creating space using his dribble.</p>

A strong rim runner with a good amount of skill, he can operate with the ball in his hands on the block or at the top of the key. He shows signs of the ability to extend his shooting out to the three, can score through contact in the paint, and does a nice job of rolling hard to the rim out of screens. Defensively, he's a strong rim protector that rebounds in space and in traffic.</p>

A versatile wing that can operate as a playmaker with the ball in his hands, he's at his best when he's in attack mode. He uses his strong frame, quickness, and athleticism to finish at the rim, showing no fear of contact. He's a terror in the open floor that can finish himself or create for his teammates. Defensively, he guards up and down a lineup and can be disruptive on the ball or in passing lanes.</p>

An impressive scorer, he does a nice job of moving without the basketball, scoring in catch and shoot situations, and playing through contact in the paint. He has a quick first step, can handle the ball as a driver, and does a nice job of changing speeds or direction off the bounce. He uses screens to his advantage and isn't afraid to take big shots. Defensively, he plays with great effort and energy and isn't afraid to give up his body.</p>

<p>A guard at <em>St. Mark's</em>, Shekel put an end to his recruitment with a commitment to <strong><em>Bard College</em></strong>. A good decision maker with the ball in his hands, he keeps an offense moving, rarely turns it over, and does a nice job of making plays for others. His best skill is his ability to knock down shots, particularly as a movement shooter. He has deep range on his jumper, uses screens to his advantage off the ball, and flies up and down the floor in transition. Defensively, he can guard either backcourt spot and knows where to be in team schemes.</p>
