The Brotherhood Shootout Session 1, hosted by Torrey Green and Gorilla Basketball, brought serious heat this weekend. Over 61 teams from Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas battled it out, showcasing a wealth of talent. Antonio Williams (2027, PG, Huntington High School) announced his arrival in a big way, dropping 20 points in a nail-biter. This sneaky guard showcased a polished handle, using it to create scoring opportunities and attack the basket. Active on both ends of the floor, Williams demonstrated a developing all-around game. As he continues to refine his skills, his playmaking ability on offense and defensive presence could make him a vital piece for Huntington next season.     Carlton Hamilton (2026, PG, Huntington High School) proved he's more than ready for the spotlight. Serving as the primary ball-handler in a pressure-packed game, Hamilton displayed impressive poise and control. He dictated the tempo, orchestrated the offense, and chipped in 11 points while showcasing his playmaking abilities. A noticeably stronger frame allows him to finish through contact and absorb bumps. Hamilton's continued development and growing confidence will undoubtedly put pressure on Huntington's deep roster.     Gavin Brown (2026, PF, McAdams High School) put on a show, exploding for 26 points in a hard-fought battle against RWIII. The 6'2" power forward is a true triple-threat, displaying the ability to score from anywhere on the court. He knocked down three 3-pointers, dominated the boards, finished through contact, and consistently sank his free throws. Whenever the Panthers needed a bucket, Brown delivered. His relentless motor and polished skillset make him a must-watch prospect this summer and beyond.     In a game often dominated by scoring and highlight-reel plays, Kohl Gray (PG, Ruston High School) stands out for his defensive prowess. A tenacious on-ball defender, Gray makes life difficult for opposing guards, disrupting offenses with his aggressive, everywhere-at-once style. His strong build and physicality gives him an advantage against less powerful guards. Offensively, Gray uses his strength to pressure defenses and create scoring opportunities for teammates. Expect Gray to continue his steady development and carve out a key role in Ruston High School's rotation. It's rare to see a player of his size with such a well-rounded, facilitating-focused game. Jackson consistently sets screens, rolls hard to the basket, and provides vocal leadership on both ends of the floor. Simply put, he was unstoppable throughout the weekend, leading Alpha and Omega to an undefeated tournament run. Fresh off being named District MVP, expect Jackson's dominance to continue as he develops his already impressive skillset.
