May is almost here, meaning the spring AAU season is in full swing. The 2027 wing group is full of talent that should make an impact this spring, especially in Group 4. Here are the 2027 Group 4 small forwards to track.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344529' first='Jariel' last='Garcia'], 6'2 Paterson Eastside

Garcia might be an undersized wing prospect, but that doesn't stop him from making plays on the floor. The 6'2 wing has a good first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and can finish through contact. Garcia moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He works hard for rebounds and slides his feet on the defensive end. Garcia is a gritty forward prospect whose ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor will help his stock over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628254' first='Sebastian' last='Rogers'], 6'4 Ridgewood

Rogers took a big step up this season and should take another step during the AAU season. The 6'4 wing uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Rogers can also put the ball on the floor and rarely forces shots in the half court. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to influence games at both ends of the floor. Rogers is a hard-working forward prospect who has the potential to play either forward position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2788485' first='Jake' last='Schultzel'], 6'2 Freehold Township

Schultzel finished the 2024-25 season on a high note and is looking to carry that over into the spring. The 6'2 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong above the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. Schultzel can also score in the mid-range and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He uses his combination of timing and athleticism to make an impact on the defensive end. Schultzel is an athletic wing prospect who should put his game on display over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628246' first='John' last='O'Neill'], 6'4 Freehold Township

Schultzel is not the only Freehold Township wing to track in the 2027 class as O'Neill has the potential to have a big spring. The 6'4 wing has a nice handle, which he uses to get to his spot on the floor and knows how to finish around the basket. O'Neill uses his size to see over his defender and has a good release on his jumper. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a solid passer. O'Neill's versatility is something that will help his stock throughout the course of the spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763539' first='Omar' last='Mangassouba'], 6'4 Newark East Side

Mangassouba is an intriguing wing prospect as he has the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. The 6'4 wing has a solid handle, which he uses to get to his spot on the floor and rises up over smaller defenders. Mangassouba finishes well around the basket and moves well without the ball in his hands. He is an underrated rebounder and has the length to make an impact on the defensive end. Mangassouba is a lanky wing prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor over the next couple of weeks.
