This years race to PH Utah Mr. Basketball was quite unique as all classifications were wide open and that also opened the door for players to emerge and take the wheel. While many players are deserving of this award there was one player that managed to take the award by a hair.

When you played Olympus Lowe was the player on the top of everyone's scouting report and he was still almost impossible to stop. His lowest scoring total this season was 15 points. He was 6 points shy of scoring 600 points in one season alone. Lowe was able to surpass the 1,000 point mark and in an unreal performance he scored 35 points in the 5A State Final as he helped Olympus bring home another State Championship. Lowe is only a junior and has a shot to have his stock rise. Lowe's impact on both ends of the floor was too much at times for other teams. Lowe scored more points than anyone in 6A-4A this season.

Next Level Skill Set

Having translatable skills at the next level is very important for players wanting to continue their playing career. Lowe as a true PG has shown that he can score quickly without making to many moves(he keeps it simple). He can rip and go and if he needs to change direction he can do so, all while staying low to the ground. He has an impressive game off of two feet and the way he can use his pivots makes him one of the best I have seen all year, especially for his size going up against bigs. Lowe shoots the ball well and he is only going to get deadlier from deep. With his ability to score from beyond the arc on the move and off the bounce refining his skills this offseason means trouble for everyone else. Being able to get paint touches is something that next level coaches will be paying attention to as he could get other players easy looks.

What to Expect Next Year

A year ago Lowe was playing with two ball dominant guards and he did some really good things off the ball. He was even used at the high post giving him opportunities to create. This year he was more ball dominant and was able to elevate his game. Next season expect him to take his game to another level we haven't seen. Lowe will help Olympus stay at the top of the rankings from day 1 when the season gets underway.
