NEXT Middle School Camp Texas: 2030 Performers

The 2030 class in particular struck me as having a lot of talent at the showcase yesterday. Below are some standout performers you'll want to keep eyes on.    Kaleb is a top-notch combo guard that can frustrate the opposition in a variety of ways on a regular basis. He's and excellent passer and he surveys the court incredibly well. He seems to always be looking ahead, spotting the subtleties that can lead to his squad's next bucket. He knows how to finish through contact and he leads the fast break efficiently and effectively. He's an elite ballhandler and can create his own shot if his team is in a jam or they're calling his number. He communicates early and often on both ends of the floor, which translates to winning basketball. Key is going to be one to watch going forward and there are many good reasons for it.     Ethan is an active, solid guard that does so many things right while he's out there on the hardwood. He has nice form on his jumper and quick hands that can rack up steals in a hurry. He's incredibly poised under pressure, always feeling out the game and analyzing the opposition for his best next move. He's able to work his way out of jams impressively well with skilled ballhandling and the patience of a saint. He's skilled at leading the fast break for his team and knows how to find the best passing lanes for his streakers and scorers. He's always hustling and runs back on defense regardless of his location on the court and his exhaustion level. He plays through contact well and can take it the full length of the court if need be. White is going to garner plenty of attention moving forward and he's one to keep on your radar.     Noah is a skilled, smart player that moves incredibly well without the ball and doesn't shy away from any sort of contact. He's an active defender and he uses his hands intelligently without fouling - just enough to distract his defender into taking a bad shot. He's a confident shooter on the offensive side of the ball - never hesitating if he's got an open look at the hoop. He doesn't ever hang his head after a turnover or bad play and he's all over the court in major ways - constantly hustling and involved in the action. McNeely is going to make plenty of waves heading into high school and he'll be turning more and more heads as he keeps getting better.     Daviyon is a high-energy combo guard that can snatch the rock from his opponent in an instant if they even think about getting casual with their dribble. He's pure hustle on both ends of the court and he handles the ball incredibly well. He can create his own offense or use his impressive vision to find a streaking teammate downcourt for an easy bucket. He uses his quick hands for more than just steals - paired with his vertical ability they help him bring in a solid number of rebounds on both ends of the floor. He can get hot in a hurry from beyond the arc and he's not a player you want to give any sort of space to. Hishaw is going to keep getting better and better and I can't wait to see it.     D'Angelo is a tenacious, sharpshooting combo guard that can make a significant impact on both ends of the floor. He's skilled at getting and keeping his teammates involved, always favoring finding them opportunities over his own. When he does put it up, he's an accurate shooter with impressive range. His awareness is spectacular on both sides of the ball and he's always in the mix when there's a loose ball at play. He's efficient at getting hands in the faces of his opponents and altering shots enough to throw them right off their game. He's not afraid to guard bigger players and he seems to welcome challenges like that. Wilson is going to be a force going forward and the attention will follow.
