Fayette-Ware pummeled Obion County Central...after a lethargic opening 10 minutes. Clinton soundly handled Cocke County Saturday. Both teams advanced to Regional Semifinals Tuesday evening. Station Camp moved forward in a tough region 5 group. They play MLK while AAA favorites Hume-Fogg meet White House.

3/1/25: Though he blocked one shot, [player_tooltip player_id='1927473' first='Tarecous' last='Stevens'] played terrible first quarter defense, constantly gambling in the passing lanes with no success. The tallest player on the floor, Stevens would be better served keeping his feet behind the dribbler and just challenging the layups. Stevens ran the floor and blocked numerous shots in the third quarter upheaval. Stevens was dominant in that quarter, the decisive quarter.

3/1/25: Fayette Ware's Wildcats struggled to find the bottom of the net early, but "Bear" Freeman kept getting into the lane. His dump-off pass to [player_tooltip player_id='1927473' first='Tarecous' last='Stevens'] helped get them into the 20's and Stevens finished a few around the rim against a shorter, but stouter Rebel frontline. Freeman did not hit jumpers most of the game, but he did keep attacking via the dribble, to his credit.

3/1/25: Aden delivered a couple perfect passes upon the probing dribble early to help Obion control the first quarter of action. Aden, and the entire Rebel backcourt lost control of the basketball in the third. Numerous turnovers forced by the hosting Wildcats turned the game around. A minor silver lining...Aden drew a couple of fouls along the way and hit one ensuing free throw.

Though [player_tooltip player_id='2570785' first='Ethan' last='Fine'] and Kyler Hayes entered with big reputations neither touched Maddux on the scoreboard. Maddux, a lanky wing guard, created with his dribble and the pass. He made free throws and found a couple of steals. Maddux helped fend off a furious late comeback by Cocke County.
