Despite being undersized at just 5'7", throughout the course of the season, Nick Matos used his quickness to consistently get in the paint to not only create scoring opportunities for himself but also create good looks for his teammates— both on the perimeter and around the basket. Matos also showcased his ability to be a respectable shooter from three point range. Defensively, Matos used a combination of quickness and good anticipation to be a pesky and disruptive defender both on and off the ball.

Playing with a tremendously high motor, Gianluca Checcetto found ways to be effective on both sides of the floor this year for Verona's squad. Offensively, Checcetto was consistently aggressive in his attack of the rim on dribble drives in the halfcourt. Defensively, Checcetto was a super disruptive defender, picking the pockets of ball handlers and playing the passing lanes effectively.

Although just a freshman, [player_tooltip player_id='2782185' first='Anthony' last='Blackmon'] proved to be a reliable shot maker for Shabazz's offense as the season went on. Erupting for multiple 20 point performances on the season, Blackmon showcased the different ways he can put the ball in the basket— whether it was the knocking down open three point shots off the catch or off the bounce, using his quickness to get by his defender and finish around defenders in the paint, or getting to his pull up game, Blackmon displayed his ability to score it on multiple levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='1775139' first='Zaim' last='Barnes'] was another reliable source of offense for Shabazz this season, as he proved to be capable of making shots at different levels. Barnes shined in the ways he was not only able to put pressure on the rim and finish around the basket on dribble drives in the halfcourt but also hit various mid range pull ups, as the season went on. Barnes even showed flashes of being a respectable threat from the perimeter, occasionally knocking down open outside shots.

Jaden Simon was an extremely effective piece off the ball for Newark Academy's offense this season. Starring primarily as a catch and shoot threat from the perimeter, Simon was able to display his shooting abilities both as a standstill shooter in the halfcourt and a movement shooter in transition. Simon also shined on the defensive end, as a guy that pressured the ball effectively and using that ability to turn defense into offense.

Behind an impressive 18.8 PPG average for Barringer this season, Frederick Guerrero had a junior season that really showed his ability to put the ball in the basket. Guerrero displayed his ability to attack the basket while also being able to get a little creative off the dribble and knock down middy pull ups. Guerrero was a respectable threat from three point range, as he showed his versatility as a perimeter shooter— shooting it off the catch and off the dribble.

Proving to be a nice connective piece for Barringer's rotation, August Mays did a lot more outside of just score the basketball. Offensively, in addition to being able to get in the paint and finish in different ways around the basket, Mays was able to use his ability to get in the paint to also create plays for his teammates— hitting dump offs and kicking out to open shooters on the perimeter. Defensively, Mays showcased his ability to be a pesky defender pressuring the ball 94 feet and picking the pockets of opposing ball handlers. Mays' most impressive stat line was his triple double, posting 20 points, 10 assists, and 10 steals against College Achieve Paterson.
