Most Oustanding Player: William "BJ" Houston, Charlotte
Houston was an outstanding prospect in more ways than one for his Shooting Stars squad in leading them to a championship victory. He finished with 21 points, six rebounds and three blocks in his final game, showing off his 6-foot-6 length and athleticism. He showed he could finish around the rim, knock down shots in the mid-range and finish in the clutch. Houston made the game-winning field goal as time expired in their opening victory over Swagger, 49-48. He had 16 points and five rebounds in their opening game. He showed impressive instincts on both ends of the floor, running rim-to-rim and acting as quite the anchor for his squad. He's a prospect to track closely in the Charlotte area in the 2029 class.
Best Shooter: Brison Gullatte, Shelby
Gullatte was impressive in running the lead guard spot for his Shooting Star counterparts and in turn, took home the best shooter award as he closed things out in the championship. He knocked down four 3-pointers and put up 20 points along with four assists in their victory over Team Hustle. He was impressive working in the pick-and-roll and making the defense pay when they went under the screen and gave him the perimeter shot. When he wasn't knocking shots down on the perimeter, he was navigating the defense to the painted area and either finding others in space for assists or finishing tough around the painted area. He's a guard listed at 5-foot-9 with a bright future in the Shelby area ahead of him.
Best Defensive Player: Jamorian Tuck, Whitsett
Tuck was another long, wiry prospect who proved his worth at this year's WNC FAB40. He stole the show on the defensive end with his heroics. He flew around the interior for Team Uncle Drew and showed off impressive instincts altering and blocking shots in the painted area. Tuck set the tone in the opening game with three blocks and even showed he could step out and defend the perimeter. He covered tremendous ground for his size at 6-foot-6. His ability to get up the floor and finish around the rim led him to a 28-point performance in the 3rd Place Game as they won 67-57. He's a 2029 forward prospect in the Whitsett area to keep track of given his upside and potential.
