<p>Below, we'll take a look at 10 <em>Combo Guards</em> from across New England, that remain unsigned or uncommitted at this point in time.</p>

<p>The <em>Vermont Academy</em> guard is a dynamic scorer that is capable of getting his baskets with the ball in his hands or playing off the ball. Rainey moves well without the basketball, quickly gets his feet square on the catch, and has a quick release on his jumper. He has nice burst off the bounce, allowing him to attack bad closeouts and get to the rim as a finisher. He does a nice job of mixing up the paces that he plays at, is a willing ball mover, and has the motor and physical gifts needed to be a lockdown perimeter defender.</p>

<p>The <em>Taft</em> guard profiles more as a lead guard at the next level than as a combo, but for now he's here. Okehi does a great job of running an offense, making plays for his teammates out of ball screens, in isolation situations, and in transition. He has good size for the position, shows some nice burst in the half court, and plays with a good understanding of pace and space. He's really good in transition, when he can get downhill and put pressure on the defense as a scorer or facilitator. On top of that, he takes good care of the ball and is a reliable decision maker in crunch time.</p>

<p>The <em>Bridgton Academy</em> guard is a next level scorer that plays with great pace, doesn't get sped up, and knows when it's time to get a bucket. Another guard that can really go in transition, he's a crafty finisher around the rim that can finish with either hand over size in the paint. He's capable of sliding over to the point and running an offense, can play off the ball as a spot up shooter, and does a good job of playing within the flow of things. He's a good rebounder from the guard spot, holds his own physically in the post, and rebounds well in space.</p>

<p>The <em>Putnam Science Academy</em> guard is a scorer through and through. Wheeler is in constant attack mode offensively, using the bounce to get into the paint and scoring with toughness at the rim. He creates space off the bounce, attacks the help man in ball screen actions, and does a nice job of elevating into his mid-range jumper. He's capable of filling a stat sheet too, doing a nice job of rebounding on the defensive end and facilitating in the half-court when needed. At 6'2" with long arms, he has good size for the position and is also a plus athlete.</p>

<p>The <em>Vermont Academy</em> guard has a powerful frame and a physical downhill style to match. A lefty, Cheung has the ability to physically overwhelm smaller guards in the paint and does a nice job of using his strength and athleticism to attack the basket off the bounce. He moves well without the basketball, utilizes off ball screens to get open on the perimeter, and can knock down catch and shoot threes with consistency. He's a versatile, multi-positional defender that is capable of guarding up a position and provides a presence on the defensive glass. </p>

<p>The <em>Oliver Ames</em> guard is a next level shooter from behind the arc with in the gym range on his jumper. He can play on or off the ball, showing the athleticism needed to get into the paint off the bounce and the motor to move consistently without the basketball. His ability to shoot it with range shows up both on and off the basketball, as he does a good job of creating space with the bounce, gets into his shot quickly off the catch, and can pull up from the logo. Defensively, he's solid on the ball with good lateral movement and quick hands.</p>

<p>The <em>CATS Academy</em> guard is a bigger guard that is at his best as a slasher or cutter, attacking the basket and using his frame to finish through contact. A good athlete, he's able to use his size to his advantage in the paint, finishing over defenders at the rim. He moves well without the basketball, knows how to read the defense, and cuts with purpose towards the rim. He's capable of putting the ball on the floor for multiple dribbles and does a nice job of attacking closeouts as a scorer. Defensively, his size gives him the versatility to defender on the perimeter and in the paint.</p>

<p>The <em>Hamden Hall</em> guard is a three level scorer that has proven capable of big scoring nights this winter. Miller is at his best when he gets downhill off the bounce, showing the ability to score with creativity at the rim and the vision needed to set up teammates for easy baskets. He has next level vision as a passer and is capable of throwing passes on time and on target while on the move. He scores over size in the paint, gets into his mid-range game off the bounce, and can pull up from deep on threes, proving to be a tough cover for any defender.</p>

<p>The <em>Raymond</em> guard is one of the better scorers in the <em>NHIAA</em> and can get it done at all three levels with the ball in his hands. Duffaut has good burst in the open floor and does a nice job of utilizing his athleticism as a rim finisher. He's got good length, quickness in tight windows, and the handle needed to get to his scoring spots off the bounce. He's best finishing around the rim, but can also knock down catch and shoot jumpers too. Defensively, he hounds opposing guards and can create a high number of steals and deflections with his effort and athleticism.</p>

<p>The <em>Westminster</em> guard is a high IQ scorer that can get to the rim off the bounce or knock down shots from behind the arc. He plays at his own pace, knows how to use his body to create space at the rim, and is comfortable stepping behind screens to knock down jumpers. The lefty has a good feel for the game, doesn't for the issue, and plays with a good understanding of how to break down a defender in space. He utilizes shot fakes and jab stebs to create space or to get past his defender and has proven to be a consistent scorer at multiple levels.</p>
