The first week of February is here, meaning county and conference tournaments are in full swing. The Colonial Valley Conference is having their first tournament since the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 season. The tournament will be fun to watch with many prospects having the opportunity to have big tournaments. Here are the prospects to watch in the CVC Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='2421352' first='Malachi' last='Jeffers-Viera'], 6'5 SG West Windsor-Plainsboro North 2026

Jeffers-Viera has been a stalwart for the Knights this season as he's done a little big of everything for them. The 6'5 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. Jeffers-Viera uses his size to see over his defender and can make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He is a strong rebounder and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Jeffers-Viera has six 20-10 games this season and is looking to add to that total during the county tournament.

Marvin Mcneill, 5'10 PG Lawrence 2026

Mcneil has had big games for the Cardinals as he's helped them to a 16-5 record. The 5'10 guard has a clean release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Mcneil moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the halfcourt. He is an underrated passer and gets deflections on the defensive end. Mcneil is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should continue to torch the nets from distance this month.

[player_tooltip player_id='2766991' first='Milan' last='Desai'], 6'1 SG Hopewell Valley 2025

Desai has stepped up this season for the Bulldogs as he leads the team in scoring. The 6'1 guard has a nice release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Desai can also put the ball on the floor and finishes nicely around the rim. He uses his instincts to make plays on the defensive end and is a solid rebounder. Desai has four 20-point games this season and should add to that total during the county tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1501449' first='Qadir' last='Dixon'], 6'2 SG Trenton Central 2025

Dixon is in the middle of a breakout season as he tops the Tornadoes in points and rebounds. The 6'2 guard uses his quick first step to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes strong around the basket. Dixon is more than just a slasher as he can also score in the mid-range and can knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Dixon has had four straight games of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, and is looking to continue that streak in the county tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1886844' first='Joel' last='Cineus'], 6'5 PF Ewing 2025

Cineus has been a consistent force on the interior for the Blue Devils over the last three seasons and is looking to close out his varsity career with a bang. The 6'5 forward uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Cineus can also put the ball on the floor from the perimeter and is an underrated passer. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and holds his round on the defensive end. Cineus is a tough forward prospect whose ability to impact the paint at both ends of the floor will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='2342648' first='Will' last='Foley'], 5'11 SG Notre Dame 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='2327063' first='Jason' last='Whitlock'], 6'5 SG Hightstown 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='2504905' first='Gary' last='Jennings'], 5'10 PG Princeton Day 2027

[player_tooltip player_id='2342615' first='Tyler' last='Bunnell'], 6'3 SG Robbinsville 2026
