NEELYVILLE UPSETS NO. 1 CAMPBELL

Campbell built a 29-19 halftime advantage, but Neelyville stormed back in the second half to pull off the 57-45 upset. Here is a look at the top players from that game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1881004' first='Casen' last='Stephens'] (Neelyville): The 6'5" 2025 wing player scored a game-high 19 points, but he really got busy in the third quarter when he scored 10 points to spark Neelyville's comeback. He is a matchup nightmare with his size and all-around skill level. His shooting range extends well beyond the 3-point line and he can also put it on the floor and score on the drive and on the pull up from the mid-range. He is also an unselfish player who was finding the open teammate for a bucket.

Parker Carson (Neelyville): The 2026 guard scored 13 points for the Tigers. He did most his damage in the first half as he provided much of the offense with 11 points while the rest of the team struggled. He is a good athlete who showcased some good footwork to score around the basket. He also crashed the offensive boards to get putbacks. He hit an open 3-pointer and hit a pull up jumper from the elbow.

Caiden Mayberry (Campbell): A 6'2" 2026 small forward who scored a game-high 15 points. He got the Camels off to a good start with 11 points in the first quarter. He is an excellent athlete who plays with a strong motor. He got out and scored in transition, rebounded the ball well and he hit a transition 3-pointer. He also elevates well on his mid-range jumper.

Layden Kellum (Campbell): A 6'0" 2025 point guard who scored 12 points to lead the Camels. I was impressed with his passing skills during his game. He was penetrating into the lane and dropping off some nice dimes to open teammates for buckets. He also made some pinpoint passes on the move with either hand. He can shoot the ball well and he pushes the ball to score on the coast to coast off a defensive rebound.

The second semifinal was a track meet as the action was fast and furious from the opening tip off to the final buzzer. In the end, it was the depth and athleticism that was too much as the Indians raced to an 81-69 victory. Here is a look at the standouts from that game.

Nicolai Kombat: A 6'3" 2027 southpaw guard who scored 23 points in the Indians victory. He is a smooth three-level scoring threat with good positional size who is one of the top young prospects in the SEMO region. He plays the game in a very smooth manner and he doesn't let himself get sped up. He can get into the lane on slashing drives and spin moves to score at the rim. He creates well off the dribble and he was knocking down walk-up 3-pointers. He also used his length very effectively on the defensive end in the Indians' relentless full-court pressure defense.

Isaiah Love: A 5'11" 2026 guard who scored a game-high 26 points in the victory over South Pem. He is a tenacious defender with quick hands and who moved his feet very well. He is a high energy player who was a monster in the transition game as he scored on numerous layups. He was also most effective when he got downhill on the drive. He had a big third quarter when the Indians turned a nine-point halftime deficit into a 10-point lead.

J'Vonta Payne: The 5'10 2026 guard scored 17 points while showcasing an impressive offensive bag in the process. He can move at different speeds and can operate in iso situations with his smooth handles. He scored on a nice wraparound move while going at full speed on the break. His pull up game is good and he was also knocking down step-back 3-pointers off the dribble.

Jaheim Dunn: A 6'2" 2027 forward who did most of his damage around the basket with his physical strength and workmanlike effort. He was very active on the boards at both ends of the court and he was a good finisher inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539667' first='Robert' last='Farmer']: A 5'7" 2026 guard who is one of the most dynamic little players in the state. He scored 25 points last night with most of them coming on fearless, acrobatic drives to the basket in traffic. He has the ability to blow by defenders and hang in mid-air and finish with a nice touch off the glass. He is a blur in the open court with his speed and he can also get a bucket at all three levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='2383806' first='Ty'riquis' last='Campbell']: The 6'0" 2027 guard scored 13 points while playing with a non-stop motor at both ends of the court. He plays defense for the full 94 feet and he does it with zeal and enthusiasm. He also always on the attack on offense as he scored on downhill drives with a little float game mix in.

Damarius Mayberry: The 2027 guard scored 16 points as he utilized his speed and quickness to get into the lane and score. He is also good defender who is tenacious and who also plays the passing lanes well for steals.
