CLAA Tournament 2027 Standouts

Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top Class of 2027 standouts who caught our attention at the Carroll Livingston Athletic Association Tournament, which was held at Tina-Avalon.    The young shooting guard scored 17 points in the Tigers victory over Northwestern in the third place game. He got things rolling on offense in the first half with a trio of 3-pointers. He also had some impressive slashing moves in the lane where he displayed good body control. He was also strong in the transition game.     A 6'2 guard who does an excellent job playing the facilitator role with his ball handling and passing ability. He uses his height well to see over defenses. He picked his spots to look for his own shot. He has a nice jab step move and he was hitting the pull up jumper in the lane.     I was impressed with this 5'10 point guard when I watched him at this tournament last year as a freshman. He scored 22 points in the consolation final against Tina-Avalon. He's quick with good handles and court vision. He can create his own shot and he comes off screens for quick release 3-pointers     The athletic young guard was making things happen with his motor and high rate of activity. He was driving along the baseline well and he was crashing into the lane to pick off offensive rebounds for putbacks.     A 6'0 guard who scored 16 points in the consolation finals against Tina-Avalon. He was strong on the attack with his quick first step to the basket. He was operating along the baseline effectively with his slashing moves.     The young guard had an impressive performance in the championship game with his solid fundamentals. He was under control on the drive and he made good use of ball fakes to set up his moves off the dribble. He was also able to pick up a few steals by playing the passing lanes.
