SEPA New Names to Know From Late January

First, he popped 5 threes on his way to 19 points in Friends Central's win over Shipley. He followed up that effort by knocking down 7 treys and totaling 29 points as FCS defeated Germantown Friends. These two performances were just the latest examples of Moore's accurate long-range shooting. This season he has posted a slew of games where he dialed up 5 or more threes. His quick release and deep range make him difficult to guard on the perimeter. Then on Thursday night Patterson scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in a key Central League win over Garnet Valley. For an encore on Saturday, Patterson poured in 27 points (5 threes) and snared 10 boards as LM defeated Niagara Falls (NY). Obviously, Patterson can stroke threes and is a force on the glass at both ends. But college coaches will really love his presence at the defensive end. Patterson is an extremely switchable prospect who can guard 1 through 4. Pickney is a long, fast, and agile prospect who excels in transition. On the fast break he can finish through contact or elevate for a flush. In the half-court, Pickney can produce points at all three levels. Pickney does an excellent job of establishing his accurate 3-point shot and then using that outside threat to set up his dribble drive attacks. However, over the past week, Shepherd exploded for games of 26 points as well as 22 points and put has name on the SEPA recruiting map. Across those two games, Shepherd drained 9 triples. In addition to lacing threes, Shepherd worked as a primary ball handler for stretches. As a point guard, Shepherd used his quick burst and crafty handles to get to the rim for lay-ins.
