SANTA ANA — The 2025 Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei high school marked the 30th edition of the prestigious event. This year's field brought together many of California's top programs and players in addition to some out of state participants. In this piece we detail some underclass (freshmen and sophomore) prospects to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2646991' first='Benjamin' last='Dzabatou'] | 2027 | Orange Lutheran

Dzabatou has come a long way over the last 10 months and his hard work has paid off with him becoming a viable interior scorer with his improved hands, touch and footwork. The 6-foot-8 center has natural athletic gifts that make him a serviceable rim protector and rebounder but his strides offensively make him a legitimate prospect to have on the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='1703091' first='Cameron' last='Anderson'] | 2028 | Eastvale Roosevelt

Anderson is a do-it-all sixth-man for one of the best teams in the country. The 6-foot-3 guard has a knack for the ball and a knack for making key hustle plays. He gets on the offensive boards to keep plays alive, shoots passing lanes for steals on lazy passes and doesn't force anything on the offensive end. Anderson's ability to time cuts, find open space in the defense and score at the rim without needing to dribble are traits that not many young high school prospects possess.

Evan Willis | 2028 | Mater Dei

Willis ins one of the more intriguing wing/forward prospects in the Southern California region. At 6-feet-7 with a long, wiry frame, fluid athleticism and dexterous coordination, the freshman has all the makings of a big-time player over the next couple of seasons. Willis already has offensive and defensive versatility to his game and a skill-set that allows him to play skillfully inside and out. Willis finished with nine points and 10 rebounds in Mater Dei's win over Crean Lutheran.

Jordan Ceballos | 2028 | Crean Lutheran

Ceballos has carved out a starting role at Crean and it has a lot to do with his toughness on both ends of the floor. It's rare you see a freshman be able to hold his own, physically, on the defensive end in a high-end varsity game but Ceballos is built for it in both his frame and mindset. The 6-foot-2 guard is a solid offensive player, as well, who can knock down open perimeter jumpers and drive and score at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2336388' first='Josh' last='Agbo'] | 2028 | Corona Centennial

Agbo is as polished offensively as you'll see in a freshman starter. The 6-foot-4 wing is fluid and shifty off the bounce which allows him to break down defenders and get to the rim where his athleticism and strength take over finishing through contact. Agbo has also shown the ability to knock down perimeter jumpers off the catch and off the bounce. He finished with 10 points in a win over St. Augustine.
