4A is arguably one of the state's deepest conferences, from the quantity of teams to the quality of players. In this article, we wade out into the deep and check out some of the contenders and even some of the sleepers who are bound to make some noise heading into regional play.

The teams that have been atop the conference all year long have been the Mills Comets and Forrest City Mustangs. Many are hoping to see them meet in an epic showdown for the title in Hot Springs.

Rowland is a reliable point guard with good passing skills that help set up scoring opportunities for his teammates. His quick first step and sharp ball movement keep defenses on edge, and his smart decisions elevate his playmaking. A selfless player, he is capable of scoring in the lane, making him a well-rounded threat on the court.

Palmer excels in playmaking and effortlessly driving to the basket to finish. His exceptional balance and body control shine through when playing off two feet near the rim. He can play inside out with his catch-and-shoot abilities and decent ball handling with not many wasted dribbles. Not only is he an offensive threat, but he brings rebounding, high-energy defense, and shot blocking from the guard spot.

The toughest region would have to be 4A Region 3 in my personal opinion. Half of the teams in the region have surpassed 13+ wins the most of any region in the conference. The top squads are Brookland, Blytheville, and Westside all of which are located in the Northeast area of the state.

Blytheville Chickasaws - Player(s) to watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2480941' first='Micah' last='Dawkins'], [player_tooltip player_id='2452884' first='Mir' last='Guyton']

Guyton is a dynamic wing who presents a tough challenge for defenders with his ability to handle the ball, shoot from the perimeter, and drive to the rim, creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates. He thrives on the energy of the game, playing with intensity and never backing down. With his all-around skill set, he remains a constant threat on both offense and defense.

Westside Warriors - Player(s) to watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2021838' first='Weston' last='Honeycutt'], [player_tooltip player_id='2747160' first='Micah' last='Dew']

Dew is a guard known for his dependable shot-making and solid fundamentals, especially around the basket. He's a clever passer who can get defenders off balance, generating scoring chances for himself while drawing contact. On the defensive end, he brings hustle and effort, often looking for steals in the passing lanes and working relentlessly to secure loose balls.

The sleepers are battle-tested teams who are starting to fill in the gaps and figure out the X's & O's. EStem, Dardanelle, Magnolia, Joe T. Robinson, Morrilton, and Shiloh Christian are amongst the largest group of teams who have real potential to fight deep into the postseason.
