On the court, Cordova ran all over SBA, a team in the middle of a program reset. [player_tooltip player_id='1318560' first='Tyler' last='Moseley'] knocked down a corner three-pointer comfortably. He will play college basketball next year. [player_tooltip player_id='2677277' first='Kaden' last='Godwin'] is already starting for a 4A power mere months into his high school academic career. Sure, Kaden is a little ungainly and makes a couple curious decisions each game, but he possesses blistering hot potential.

Ramsay (AL) vs. Southwind 11/30/24

Southwind's Jaguars competed in the prestigious Lighthouse Classic Thanksgiving weekend. Lighthouse Classic Director Vince Overholt pitted Southwind against Ramsay High out of Alabama. Ramsay won 48-47.

Ramsay brought a busload of talent themselves. Ranked #26 in Alabama by @PrepHoopsAL, Jayden Washington is a 6-foot-6 comb guard signed to D1 Georgia Southern University. The Ramsay Rams also dressed #109, #146, #185, and #200 from the senior class. The Rams' junior class might be even better thanks to guards Jay Green, Jeremiah Williams, and Marcellous Hall. All three are ranked in the Top 26 and Jay is the #3 dude in Alabama's 2026 class. Florida International University, Chattanooga, and Alabama A&M all offered Jay Green already.

Defensively, Southwind played exceptionally by holding Ramsay to just 37.3% shooting! The Jaguars did allow 12 offensive rebounds though, and that resulted directly in 19 second chance points. In a 48-47 game, rebounding can be decisive. It was, as Southwind left Corinth, Mississippi with its first loss on the young season.

Bright spots included: [player_tooltip player_id='1400891' first='Kristopher' last='Carroll'], Austin Price, and [player_tooltip player_id='1760995' first='Ronald' last='Towns III'].

Carroll finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds on 4-7 FG (2-4 3's), while Towns III scored 14 points thanks to 4-8 from behind the three-point line. A Ramsay High player hinted that Southwind needs to utilize Austin Price more in the halfcourt.

Follow @AndrewForce8.
