Webster Classic Consolation Standouts

Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of players who caught our attention while watching the consolation bracket action at the Webster Classic.    The powerful 2026 guard led the Cadets to a pair of victories and the consolation championship. He was a force who was very effective at playing bully ball in getting into the lane to get buckets. Even if everyone knows he wants to get downhill, he gets there anyway. He could also hit the 3-pointer to keep defenders honest. He scored 30 points in the victory over Hazelwood Central in the consolation championship game.       A 6'3" 2025 guard who is a talented offensive player with athleticism and three level scoring ability. He was very effective when he was slicing into the lane to score on drives with either hand in traffic. He finished very well with good body control in traffic. He creates off the bounce well and can get separation from defenders to knock down 3-pointers. Even as the focal point of every opposing team's defense, he still finds multiple ways to score.     The 5'11" 2025 point guard scored 19 points in the Hawks victory over McCluer North in the game that I watched. He is a very tough cover because he has excellent quickness to beat defenders off of dribble penetration and he combines it with a nice 3-point stroke. He has excellent burst with his first step and his step-back 3-pointer off the bounce is money.         A 2025 scoring point guard who combines with his teammate Mike Nunley to form a very potent backcourt combination for the Hawks. He is a very good scorer off the dribble, but he also plays very well off the ball. He comes off screens to knock down 3-pointers off the catch. He is also a tenacious defenders who has quick hands to hawk the ball.     A 5'10" 2025 guard who is a solid playmaker who can really score. He's a crafty southpaw that changes speeds well to keep defenders off balance. He can shoot it well from 3-point range off the dribble and off the catch. He does a good job of moving at his own pace     The 6'10" 2025 Cal-State Fullerton recruit put in work in the low post in the Cadets two victories. He had a pair of double-doubles in victories over Jennings and Hazelwood Central. He is a meat-and-potatoes big man who uses his size and strength to his advantage inside. He uses his big body well inside and he's tough to move when he establishes his position. He has continued to improve over the course of his career.
