Tuesday we released the updated 2026 rankings. Numerous players moved up the rankings, a few by leaps and bounds. Here are the Fastest Stock Risers:

[player_tooltip player_id='1717327' first='Braylon' last='Vega'], Artesia: Vega transferred to Artesia from Hobbs during the summer and so far he's been one of the Bulldogs best players. Tuesday night, he scored 22 points in a lopsided victory over Santa Teresa. In the championship game of the City of Champions Classic, Vega scored 18 points against his former team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1717329' first='Mason' last='Wallin'], Logan: Nobody took a bigger leap up the rankings than the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Wallin. He is averaging 22.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per game to help Logan to a 5-0 start. Wallin has scored 23+ points three times and has 2 double-doubles. The Longhorns have the look of a legitimate Class 1A title contender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1717250' first='Hunter' last='Aime'], Albuquerque Academy: The big fella is getting it done for the Chargers. He is listed at 6-foot-10. He has been a defensive presence in the middle of the Albuquerque Academy defense and does a nice job attacking the rim on offense when he gets the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1933382' first='Eugene' last='Armijo'], Wagon Mound: He is averaging 13.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Class 1A Trojans, who are coming off a Monday night win over Corona/Vaughn. Armijo has scored 14+ points five times with two double-doubles.

[player_tooltip player_id='2300000' first='Bryant' last='Scales'], Legacy Academy: The Silverbacks are off to a solid 4-2 start with the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Scales leading the team in scoring at 13.3 ppg. He's also a good rebounder (5.3 rpg) and defender. Legacy Academy could make some noise in Class 2A this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1717249' first='Hayden' last='Bruhn'], Logan: Few duos in the state are better than Bruhn and Wallin (see above). Together, they're averaging over 41 points and 21 rebounds per game. Bruhn is averaging an impressive 19.6 points and 12.8 rebounds per game. Both return next season, too. Watch out for Logan over the next two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2300007' first='Malakhai' last='Ely'], Taos: The Tigers improved to 4-2 with Tuesday night's impressive road win at Bernalillo. Ely is off to a strong start, averaging 14.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in the first four games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2394866' first='Donevan' last='Ricker'], St. Michaels: The Horsemen are off to a 5-2 start in Dakota Montoya's first year as head coach after trouncing crosstown rival capital on Tuesday night. They are probably one of the most balanced teams in the state with SEVEN players averaging between 5.0 and 8.0 points per game. Ricker is a major contributor by averaging 7.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
