In this review of the class of 2025 rankings, we will look at the top 10 shooting guards.

Lucas is the top shooting guard in this class and in the state. He is a two way player who plays both ends at a high level. Lucas can defend multiple decisions on defense and score at three levels on offense. He is a player who can start or finish the break also. Jeremiah is as good as it gets playing the 2.

Flugence can take over a game offensively or defensively. His offensive game looks effortless at times because he scores with relative ease. He often gets transition buckets because of the way he plays the pass. Flugence definitely is a player who makes his team better.

If you are thinking in terms of tradition at the two guard, Thompson may be the closest thing to it. He can spot up and shoot from deep from the half court set or in transition. His shooting ability translates and helps him play off anyone with ease. On defense, he can defend wings and smaller guards. Thompson is a player who fits well with what Archbishop Hannan does on both sides.

Rideau is a smooth two guard who can light you up from deep or get to the rim. He has a strong upper body and takes contact like someone who plays football also. Rideau gets to his spots using that same strength and can elevate over defenders. He is as good as the come playing to off guard and makes plays easily for his team.

Charles is another player who fits the traditional two guard mold well. He can get hot from deep and is hard to cool off from deep. Charles can also score from the mid-range causing issues for a defense. His multi-level scoring is tough to defend. It may the main reason he is a 1,000 point scorer at Beau Chene.

Bush is an athletic two who can defend and score. He is a player who can go off on multiple point binges himself. When that happens, small leads become big ones that the opposition cannot come back from. His defense can ignite his offense as well. Because he can defend and score, Bush is a tough cover for most teams.

The lefty from Peabody has always been a solid wing defender who picked and chose his spots to score. Now, as a senior, he is one of the focal points of the Peabody offense. Jones likes to drive left and elevate. He is a player who likes contact and scores through it. Jones can also defend in space or in help situations. He is an all-around two guard who fits the Peabody way of play.

Brownlee is one of the more athletic two guards and this list and uses it to his advantage. He has quick hands and feet which help him play exceptional defense. Those defensive skills lead to transition opportunities that he finishes more times than not. Brownlee is a player that is still improving which is scary for his district and class.

The Slidell two guard can change things defensively in a blur. He is player who can cause individual transition opportunities or ones for his team. Parlow defense makes other off guards and wings uncomfortable. Translating this high level defense into scores is what he does. His ability to finish above the rim makes him special as well.

The St. Amant senior is a high flyer. He can change ends of the floor in a hiccup and his above the rim finishes are rim-shattering. Perkins can defend in space and defend multiple positions. He is the quintessential two guard who defends. Perkins is a finisher and defender. He is definitely a player who is needed in today's high school game.

Look for other top ten player list as December is the month of updated rankings to be released.
