He definitely showed that he could establish position on the block or under the rim and finish with a basket when he had the opportunity. He was incredibly active on the glass and rebounded much bigger than his size. Borcherding had a nose for the ball, always around it and always there to make a play when needed. For me, it all started with his speed and ability to utilize it. Galbem was able to break light defensive pressure with ease just using a fast straight line dribble. You could see his skill, but he never seemed to force the issue. Let's start with his shooting. He filled it up with 2 deep catch and shoot jumpers, 1 from beyond the arc and the other from just inside it. Giacolone even hit a fall away free throw line jumper. He was definitely more than just a shooter though. He played a really smart offensive game. Lauer was willing to pass up good looks if his teammates had better ones. He scored off an inbound, found a lane to the right with the ball and finished and also had a pretty floater for 2. You can tell that he's been around the game, just playing a more mature game than many sophomores. Mashhour has a nice looking stroke on his jumper and did bury 1 from beyond the arc at the top.
