Thanksgiving week I attended five tournaments and one stand alone game for exactly 24 games and 48 different teams. The events I watched were Phoenix Union Coyote Classic at Central HS, Beyond Basketball Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament at Moon Valley, Millennium at Sandra Day O'Connor, Fear The Hop Tournament at Mesa HS, Sentinel Holiday Classic at Seton Catholic and Horizon Honors and lastly the LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC.

Here were the Top-10 Senior Standouts I viewed Thanksgiving Week (45 total)

[player_tooltip player_id='1333492' first='Michael' last='Simcoe'] Sandra Day O'Connor

The top performer of Thanksgiving week regardless of class belonged to Michael. He had a stat line of 35 points (5 3's), 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks. He did it with deep threes, backing his man down and scoring with his left hand, bullying his way to the rim, explosive dunks and then will thread a pass to a teammate. His impact was felt versus a top rated Millennium team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369218' first='Gavin' last='Dabney'] Higley

Gavin had everything going well for him. He was scoring with spin moves, pull-ups from mid, bully-ball drives, dunks, deep threes and you can play thru him and have him go to work or find an open teammate. He is an ultimate mismatch problem in the AIA. He scored a week high that I personally viewed of 40 points versus a tough San Tan Charter team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1129193' first='Koa' last='Peat'] Perry

You can normally put him one most weeks with his play but the two up top had top games for themselves. He brings so much attention as the defense just gravitates towards him regardless of if he is scoring his normal dunks with authority, his mid-range pull-ups and rebounding everything, but he is affecting the game with his defense and passing for his size. He scored 16 points but filled the stat sheet all the way around versus Williams Field in their big win.

[player_tooltip player_id='996172' first='D'Andre' last='Harrison'] Perry (Pictured)

Another top player for the Pumas was a problem on Saturday night. The lefty gets downhill to score, he is a middy magician with his sweet shooting stroke, he has the floater game and he can also bully you inside. He will dunk it on the break with ease and has great hands to catch tough passes in traffic. He scored 18 points in style. Him and Peat did not play the full game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1379910' first='Kyle' last='Grier'] Valley Christian

The sturdy framed wing forward scored 27 points in their win. He has a super quick release from the three point line and hit four deep ones plus can score inside with strong takes. He is a sneaky quick second jumper and will go up and score it from inside with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217315' first='TayVion' last='Wilson'] Sandra Day O'Connor

In a big game versus Millennium, Wilson came up golden with 14 points. Also, most of his points were in the second half of the game. He will blow by his defenders, hit the three off the catch, make plays for his teammates, rebound and block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1674465' first='Lamar' last='Anderson'] Dysart

A long and very athletic wing scored 24 points in their win. He made some impressive dunks in traffic and scores with driving layups, cuts, alley-oops, long striding buckets with tough shot after tough shot using advanced body control. He also rebounds out of his area.

[player_tooltip player_id='2249638' first='Carter' last='Brown'] Ironwood Ridge

A physical guard poured in 23 points in their defeat but he was the main reason the game was close. He scores with mid-range jumpers, rip thrus, downhill speed dribble drives and threes. The lefty has a sneaky tight handle in close spaces and handles contact better than most. He is also tough to rebound and block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2039490' first='Noah' last='Adkins'] ALA Ironwood

A big win for the 3A school versus Bradshaw Mountain. He scored 16 points with jab step threes with range, catch threes with a quicker release and off the dribble threes. He will drive and kick it to a shooter and he has quick hands on defense to rip some pockets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1431745' first='AJ' last='Anderson'] Paradise Valley

A strong lead guard who can score. He poured in 19 points in their win with threes, tough drives in heavy traffic, pull-ups and gets to the free throw line often. He is all over the court to rebound, collect steals and be a menace to opposing defenses.
