Looking around my home county of Forsyth, we know it's not jam-packed with star power like Gwinnett or Cobb per say, but a lot of guys can play up here.

Lambert may have a Suwanee address officially, but they're steps from the Forsyth border and exist in Forsyth-heavy 6A-Region 6. The play of 2026 forward 2026 Will Dopfer (24 ppg, 7 rpg) and 2025 guard Cam Bland (16 ppg, 3 ast) have led them on the stat sheet, and at press time Saturday night they had just beaten a really good Habersham Central team 79-75 to improve to 4-1.

Bland is a bowling ball getting to the rim, a football standout as well, he pushes pace so effectively in the up-tempo Longhorns style and can put up big scoring numbers for you in a hurry. Dopfer can play the agile big man game or beat you facing up with a soft touch at 6-foot-7. Can't sleep on the production they get from Taj McLeod joining Dopfer in the frontcourt and Kenny LaRue joining Bland in the backcourt.

West Forsyth did nothing more than go out and beat everybody at another competitive Raider Classic at North Forsyth this week, taking home the title with wins over Wesleyan, Pope and Dunwoody to get to 3-2 as the Thanksgiving break gets set to end.

They have a trio of guys in Gray Smith, Jason Tawuo and Colin McCall who can hurt you in multiple ways. Smith has been known as just a knockdown guy, but now a senior he is leading in more ways than one. Tawuo is a sparkplug guy who rebounds, defends and can get you clutch buckets, while 2026 McCall is a comer who has an aggressive mindset and a scorer's mentality.

East Forsyth too technically exists in Gainesville of Hall County, but we'll include them here because of the school's name of course and because they have some gamers.

Out to a hot start of 6-0, 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1543501' first='Brennan' last='Burns'] (pictured at top) has been "the guy", posting almost a double-double nightly while looking like the young star we foresaw 2 years ago before a torn ACL slowed him down the last 18 months. Now fully healthy, he along with 2025 point guard Louie Koulouvaris form a potent scoring backcourt. 2026 wing [player_tooltip player_id='2396579' first='Tyler' last='Lesch'] can be a catalyst too for the Broncos with his shooting, while big man [player_tooltip player_id='2425913' first='Kaiden' last='Long'] is a name to track, the 6-foot-7 sophomore put his name on the map during fall camp season and has continued his intriguing play into the regular season.

How about Forsyth Central? The Bulldogs are 5-1 at press time, often overlooked in what is yearly a very good 6A-Region 6. They're led by a solid point man in senior Camp Wyatt and do-it-all guy 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2756697' first='Caleb' last='Drummer'], we're going to see if FCHS can keep things going as Region play starts boldly for them December 3 with Lambert visiting, followed quickly by a trip to West Forsyth December 6.
