He doesn't take a defensive possession off and is a 2 way player. Really the type that makes it very tough for a coach at any level to take him out of the game. Sigmon is coming off a big summer where he got big stops against elite competition.

Jones has become an elite perimeter defender. He's very engaged on that end of the floor. He can effectively defend either guard spot. Jones has the frame to play physically and body bigger guards. But he also has smooth feet that help him shut down quicker guards.

I've always loved what Lowe brings to the table on the defensive end of the floor. He's a smooth athlete that can change direction and stay glued to his man. Lowe is a vocal defender that talks to his teammates.

Zickert is excellent picking up at halfcourt and applying pressure. He has a big strong frame that helps him stop a ball handler in their tracks. Zickert can simply bully opposing guards when they have the ball in their hands.

I've literally seen Feeney take over with his pressure D on the perimeter. He sees the ball so well in his opponents hands that it's just a matter of time before he gets a steal. Feeney studies his opponents habits with their handles and then attacks them.

There was a post on social media that grabbed my attention. It asked the simple question - "Top Defenders"? Well, we're going to continue out look at some of the top perimeter defenders, this time from the class of 2026.
