Forwards and Centers from Scrimmage Week

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Scrimmage week in NorCal took us to the 707 for the BHS Scrimmage at Benicia High School. 11 varsity teams participated. 20 minute halves with running clock. The first game started at 8:30, with the last game ended around 5:00. Eye catchers from the day long event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2406862' first='Ayden' last='Thompson'] 6'7 2025 PF/C, Benecia: He's made progress in his development and is considered one of the better unsigned PF/C in NorCal. He's tuned his body, playing with balance. He looked good running, and finishing in transition. He scored around the rim with playing off two and jump hooks. He has presence in the paint. He's a double, double at this level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2089517' first='Matthew' last='Wright'] 6'7 2026 PF/C, Vanden: He's showing improvement. He's a big body, takes up space in the paint on both sides of the court, he can be physical at times in the paint. He'll be tasked with defending bigger players in the post, getting rebounds, going after blocks, and preventing easy layups. He has the body to be a productive bucket getter inside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2517125' first='Gavin' last='McMillan'] 6'8 2027 PF/C, Monte Vista: He's a long player who gives the team size in the paint. He understands his role. Set solid screens to free up cutters, and shooters, get position for rebounds on both ends of the court. He's a good passer from the high and low post. He can get a bucket inside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1573036' first='Isiah' last='Dixon'] 6'5 2025 Forward, Vanden: He has a an improving inside/out game. He works well driving from the corners getting close to the rim for short jumpers, and points in the paint. He has the toughness to go get a bucket working in the post. He'll hit the boards, and give good effort defending bigger players. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Salenen Carr 6'4 2027 Forward, Freedom: It was our first look at the bouncy athletic forward. He put in good work around the basket. He was fast with quick jumps all around the rim. He was an active rebounder giving himself second and third chances to finish. He fast running the court. He's a bit raw but gives good effort on the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
