Antwan made a case for being one of the best players in camp on day one. He is a dynamic young guard who impacted both ends of the floor. He loves going left and did a really good job of living in the paint and getting to the cup. His hesi move kept defenders off balance, and his burst in the open floor left defenders playing catch up. His performance today was high energy and was nothing short of jaw-dropping as he lit up the scoreboard.

Cameron is a small backcourt talent who is listed as a combo guard but will need to focus his attention on the lead guard spot as he eyes life at the high school level. Today at camp, he showed a lot of poise at the lead guard spot. He showed a budding PG IQ as he did a good job getting the ball to his teammates and getting them the ball where they could be successful. He is young but plays like a coach on the floor and excels at running the offense.

He was constantly getting to the cup, was strong on the drive, and was strong at finishing in traffic. He is a backcourt talent that looks to dominate each possession.

The player with the most promise on the day was Michael. He has positional size, length, and versatility. He scored inside and out, played with his back to the basket, and showed his ability to put the rock on the floor and attack off the bounce. He started off on the low block, so I thought he was going to camp out down low throughout. However, when he showed me his face-up game and his ability to create for himself, he had my full attention. He can handle the rock in the open floor, another dynamic to his game that made him extremely tough to defend. His name is one to remember.

Madden had an impressive day one, showing his scoring arsenal from the lead guard spot. He is listed as a PG, but he played on and off the ball and was productive either way. Madden thrived at attacking off the bounce and showed his giftedness as a scorer. His game draws fouls as he was difficult for defenders to contain. He is really good as a shot-maker, and it is hard to stop his scoring barrage when he is in his groove. As good as he was at scoring the rock, his play on the defensive end was just as impactful as he made a lot of plays with his active hands and ability to react in the passing lanes. He has to continue to work on his perimeter jumper as teams will begin to play off to negate his ability to get to the cup.

He has a really good first step, and a crossover that he loves to go to that gets defenders out of position. He is tough off the bounce and does a good job reading the defense and reacting while on the drive. He makes high-end decisions with the rock in tight spaces. Despite listing his positions as a guard and forward, he is a reliable lead guard. As he gets ready to take his talents to the high school level, focusing on developing and honing his PG skills will be critical.

Jahmiah caught my eyes during a game as he was creating off the bounce and dropping dimes to his teammates. I liked his feel and understanding of the game, but the only issue as he looks to play at the high school level is his 5'2 height. His skill is not questioned, as he is shifty off the bounce, has good vision, and really good passing ability. He is a tough competitor, and I encourage him to focus on what he can control, which is his development until he has a growth spurt.
