Jahvin Carter graduated. And yet the 2A State Champions are not vulnerable to easy usurping. Just when 2A opponents thought they would get a breath the Class of 2027 showed up. [player_tooltip player_id='2260983' first='Jamir' last='Dean'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2281200' first='Jay' last='Kirk'] can really play. Jamir is a plus athlete without fear of taking a hit in the lane. Kirk is also a terror in the lane. He lacks the typical timidity of a young guy playing varsity.

[player_tooltip player_id='2338255' first='Logan' last='Brimhall'] (Franklin) averaged under 2.0 Varsity points per game last winter. His agility at 6-foot-2+ is exciting. When Franklin played 2-3 zone, which was often thanks to the rim-protection [player_tooltip player_id='1318564' first='Christian' last='Brown'] provided, Brimhall would set up in the back left. He was adept at helping against the dribble or closing out to the corner. Brimhall showed decent speed running out in transition. More importantly he displayed a fire and enthusiasm transitioning.

Among Logan's better games was the late January win over Summit in which he scored eight points.

Clinton's [player_tooltip player_id='2610405' first='Isaiah' last='Williams'] continues to showcase an expansive game. Despite his height at a young age, Isaiah gets to the basket and scores off-the-dribble comfortably.

[player_tooltip player_id='2350870' first='Roger' last='Matute'] is rumored to be taking on a much larger role. His skill is quite a bit better too from just a year prior. Matute's fall league performance confirmed the word coming out of Gatlinburg.

[player_tooltip player_id='1974852' first='Jonathan' last='Johnson'] recorded a fantastic sprint time in June at the @PrepHoopsTN Combine.

Fast with and without the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1974852' first='Jonathan' last='Johnson'] sprinted to a Top 5 time in the 3/4-court sprint with a 3.17 second sprint. Very, very fast. Combine coaches unanimously voted him into the All-Star Game. They liked his ability to attack the lane with the dribble. - PrepHoopsTN Combine eval June 2024
