He is tough to contain in isolation situations as he has a low center of gravity and plays low, which is how he often got the advantage in his one-on-one match-ups. He has flair, plays balanced, involves teammates, and stays in control on the drive, both in the half-court and open floor, allowing him to make reads off the drive.

Kendon Curtis Sherrer (5'10/SG/2026/Horseshoe Bend HS)

IG: kendonsherrer4

X: @KendonSherrer

Kendon proved he was one of the best shooters in the camp from behind the arc. That is where he made his mark, as he does a good job keeping the floor spaced. He is a player who has to be accounted for every moment he is on the floor because he is highly productive from behind the arc. He has to continue to work on being able to create his own shot, as he was reliant on others to create his opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='2610196' first='Colton' last='Proctor'] (6'4/Wing/2025/Piedmont HS)

IG: coltonoroctor_

X: @coltonproctor_

Colton has good positional size and had moments throughout the day when he showcased his talents. He looked to get to the cup and score, but he wasn't attacking with purpose. He would have been a lot more impactful, able to draw more fouls and collapse the defense more, if he had been more aggressive in attacking off the bounce. He functioned as a triple-threat player who contributed as a shooter, passer, and driver, and he showed that he could impact the game without scoring but could score.

[player_tooltip player_id='2610204' first='Grant' last='Scherer'] (5 ‘10/CG/2026/Bessemer Academy)

IG: grant_scherer10

X: @grant_scherer10

Grant showed his ability to balance scoring and facilitating throughout the day. He plays on and off the ball and is productive in both capacities. He is a good distributor, careful with the ball, and a willing and skilled passer with good vision. He has a budding PG IQ and can really shoot the rock from behind the arc. His defense was noticeable, but he has to continue getting better on that end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2610212' first='Kendaris' last='Steele'] (6'7/PF|C/2027/Hoover HS)

IG: kingkj_32

X: @KingKJ_24

Kendaris is a young prospect who is still growing his game and adding tools to his toolbox. He has positional size and length and played a physical brand of basketball at camp. His physical play was borderline bully ball, as he forced his way to the cup on several possessions throughout the day. He was active on the glass, rebounding at a high rate using his size and length. He must continue expanding his game outside the paint and developing his perimeter skills.

JaMichael Nelson (5'7/PG/'28/Thompson)

IG: chunk_so-ill

X: @chunk_so-ill

JaMichael was one of the youngest players at camp but had a game beyond his years. He is a talented young prospect who showed a lot of promise. He is a playmaker with a tremendous burst, a brilliant floor game, shiftiness off the dribble, and very good court awareness. He has the ball on a string and finds the right guy with timely passing. He has good vision and constantly creates offense for himself and his teammates. He is one of the brightest young prospects in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2610211' first='Kaleb' last='Sanders'] (5'11/CG/'27/Stanhope Elmore)

Kaleb is a backcourt talent with good floor awareness and does a good job orchestrating the offense. He is a heady floor general with PG skills and scoring tools. Traffic and congestion in the paint doesn't deter him as he is really good at knifing his way through the paint to the cup and finishing amongst the bigs. He is tough off the bounce and is extremely creative at creating shots at all three levels. He is a highly productive player and made others around him better.

[player_tooltip player_id='2610220' first='RJ' last='Gourley'] (6'3/G|F/'25/Brooks)

IG: gourley_rj

X: @gourley_rj4l

RJ had been tagging me in clips, and I was looking forward to watching him complete at the expo. He did not disappoint as he came out and established himself as one of the top talents in the camp. He has positional size and a good feel for the game. He was aggressive early and looked to attack and posterize anyone who felt froggy. He has a quick first step and was really good at converting in the paint at the cup. He has good ball-handling skills, good body control, and is a really good shotmaker. He slacked off a little, but he did prove his value with his play from the day.

Johnny Robert Towry (6'6/PF/'27/Vestavia Hills HS)

IG: Johnnytowry

X: @JohnnyTowr9236

Johnny is a lengthy interior presence, and his game continues to grow every time I see him. He is more comfortable, has a greater balance from which he plays, and is emerging into a more aggressive big on the low block. He has a really good upside with his ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor. Compared to most of the other campers, Johnny had the size advantage and he used it to be a dominant force in the paint. He is a good finisher at the up, does a good job challenging shots, and was active on the glass. He is set to have a good year for Vestavia and is a player to keep an eye on.
