He has flair, plays balanced, involves teammates, and stays in control on the drive, both in the half-court and open floor, allowing him to make reads off the drive.

He did not disappoint as he came out and established himself as one of the top talents in the camp. He has positional size and a good feel for the game. He was aggressive early and looked to attack and posterize anyone who felt froggy. He has a quick first step and was really good at converting in the paint at the cup. He has good ball-handling skills, good body control, and is a really good shotmaker. He slacked off a little, but he did prove his value with his play from the day.

Johnny is a lengthy interior presence, and his game continues to grow every time I see him. He is more comfortable, has a greater balance from which he plays, and is emerging into a more aggressive big on the low block. He has a really good upside with his ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor. Compared to most of the other campers, Johnny had the size advantage and he used it to be a dominant force in the paint. He is a good finisher at the up, does a good job challenging shots, and was active on the glass. He is set to have a good year for Vestavia and is a player to keep an eye on.
