Great Western Classic: Day 1 Standouts

He was doing a lot of things that make you check to see if you are watching the right kid. He is a player that is a D2 for sure as he has lenth at around 6'6/ He attacks the rim, he shoots the ball well and he could easily be a steal. If he went the NJCAA route he could end up at a higher level but as a 2026 player he is set to have a big year and an even bigger spring and summer. His attacking of the rim and the way that he did it was impressive. He was putting the ball at different levels on his drives to protect and he was making moves in traffic. He looked really fluid on those drives not forcing anything and he also looked good shooting the ball. His footspeed and footwork is much improved. He has really transformed this offseason. He is making winning plays with his driving and finding ability. He was out on the floor making everyone better around him. His defense was also something that was noticeable. With ball handling ability and a lot of shooting this kid is going to have a stellar high school season. Mason has been crafty since he started playing as a freshman and now he is still crafty but he leans more on his skills to protect and use angles to get to where he wants. He is showing that he can score at all three levels in traffic. Ford is really starting to settle in and his game is taking off. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
