We finished 5th in the EDC. We had a good EDC Tournament but ended our season with a disappointing loss to a good West Fargo team."   PHD: Who will be your primary ballhandler this year?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1497485' first='Cole' last='Wilber'] will be in his 4th year as our starting point guard. He is a tough competitive player that does a great job of running our offense. He will have some help from [player_tooltip player_id='1798694' first='Brooklan' last='Bruce'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1800672' first='Brayden' last='Delorme'] who are also good ball handlers and playmakers."   PHD: How did the offseason go for your team/program?   "We had a positive off season playing in 4 competitive team camps in June and a good June and July of skills camp. Our guys have taken advantage of the strength offerings that Central has provided and have shown great improvement in strength and conditioning."   PHD: Who are a few of your top players to look out for?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1497485' first='Cole' last='Wilber'] - Returning All-EDC player, good shooter & can score around the basket. PHD: Who are a couple of up-and-comers to look out for in the near future? PHD: Who do you think will be your top interior players?   "I am not sure we will have one. [player_tooltip player_id='2396506' first='Trey' last='Wyman'] is a slashing type of player, but we won't have a true post player."   PHD: What are 2 or 3 goals for the team this year?   "Come together offensively and defensively and be able to play to our strengths. We would like to get to the EDC Tournament and give ourselves a chance to qualify for the State Tournament."   PHD: Who will be your hardest worker?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1497485' first='Cole' last='Wilber'] has consistently been one of our hardest workers and will set that tone again." PHD: In your opinion, who are some of the top teams & players in your Region?   "Davies, West Fargo, WF Sheyenne. North will be good while RR and Horace will be improved from last year. "[player_tooltip player_id='1959413' first='Wesley' last='Wittler'] was an All-State Honorable Mention player last year as a Sophomore, we are excited to see him take his game to a new level this year. We have 6 other returning players that played a lot of minutes last year and we are very excited about this group as a whole. They complement each other very well and did a very good job this past summer learning their roles and executing their roles."   PHD has always been impressed with Wittler. He is a smooth and skilled baller with a great feel for the game. "Last season presented its share of challenges, with many closely contested games. However, the experience gained from those situations has been invaluable, and we are confident it will contribute to our growth and improvement this year."   PHD: Who will be your primary ballhandler this year?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1959413' first='Wesley' last='Wittler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2566561' first='Gavin' last='Colson'] will be our primary ball handlers this season, and both have demonstrated strong leadership qualities along with a clear understanding of our offensive system. Their commitment to playing hard on both ends of the court, particularly with their defensive effort, sets a strong example for the team. Over the past two years, they have shown consistent improvement, and we are expecting significant contributions from both of them this season."   PHD: How did the offseason go for your team/program?   "We believe we had a highly productive offseason, with significant development from our younger players and our more experienced athletes gaining a clear understanding and refinement of their roles over the summer."   Who are a few of your top players to look out for?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1959413' first='Wesley' last='Wittler'] is certainly a key player for us, with his ability to score from anywhere on the floor, making him a focal point for opposing teams. However, we are fortunate to have a strong group of seniors who have put in significant work to prepare for the upcoming season. I'm particularly excited to see Gavin Barber, Preston Kinney, [player_tooltip player_id='2566563' first='Eli' last='Mercer'], Teghan Wesphal, and [player_tooltip player_id='2566564' first='Trever' last='Marshall'] in action. These seniors have embraced their roles and are demonstrating exceptional leadership on and off the court. Their versatility allows us to play at different tempos, and their defensive intensity will be a major part of our team's identity this year. I'm confident this group will set the tone for a competitive season."   PHD: Who are a couple of up-and-comers to look out for in the near future?   "We have a great group of young players that will be entering into our program or are just starting their careers within our program. Cooper Falkenhagen, Jett Yackley, and Easton Moore are all young guys who could see action this upcoming season. They have each improved throughout the summer and we look forward to them continuing to improve throughout the years."   PHD: Any last comments about the upcoming season?   "We are eager to get the season underway! Our players have shown great dedication to the weight room, and the physical gains are already becoming evident on the basketball court. We are particularly excited about this year's group of upperclassmen, who have invested significant time and effort in preparation and are poised for a standout season. We anticipate utilizing a deep rotation throughout the year and look forward to watching the team's continued growth and improvement as the season progresses."
