Berkner Shootout: Guard Standouts

With good athleticism, the ability to score or running the offense, these guards showed they are in for big season. He's good at setting up his teammates with sharp on point passes. Has good body control when driving in the paint and also a tight handle. His handle is sharp and it makes it hard for defenders to keep up with him. He's a smart finisher at the rim and doesn't force bad shots. Showed off his IQ with good spacing and making accurate passes. Has a good crossover and he showed this by crossing over into blow by layups and pull up jumpers. Also showed off his athleticism with dunks, soaring in for rebounds and contesting shots at the rim. He has a strong ability to handle the ball making it hard to steal the ball away from him. He uses his handle to create opportunities for himself when driving in the lane or on the perimeter. Was good at making the right reads coming off of screens and gathered a lot of assists with his passing ability. He made the right plays and passes dishing out a couple tough assists. He knows when to flip the switch and played hard defense racking up some steals and deflections during the games. He excels at driving and cutting to the basket scoring majority of his points with finishes in the paint. On offense, his handle was quick and shifty which helped him crossover or blow by defenders to finish in the paint. Has the ability to make on point passes from the perimeter or the paint. Good at playing off two, making smart plays off the jump stop. On defense he was aggressive and attentive deflecting multiple passes.
