The time has finally come as we have updated our senior class rankings in Virginia! The new rankings feature close to 40 new players, ranking 172 players in the state.

We'll take a look at some positional breakdowns in the rankings, looking at the guards, wings and forwards rankings. Here's part one of the guards, ranking the top point and combo guards in the class.

25) [player_tooltip player_id='1494116' first='Kassidy' last='Jackson'] | 5'9” PG | Green Run (#76 Overall)

Jackson has been one of the top guards in the Beach District, being a starter for Green Run since he stepped on the floor as a freshman, and he's set to have a big senior season. He's a natural athlete with a quick first step and great speed in the open floor, he touches the paint at will and is a good finisher, he makes plays for others and is very good guarding the ball too.

24) [player_tooltip player_id='2548302' first='Jaylen' last='Dyer'] | 6'4” CG | Miller School (#75 Overall)

Dyer was a big riser in the updates after having a good junior season and even better summer, showing a lot of improvement across the board. He's a big guard who is an unselfish playmaker who sees the floor and makes the right play, he shoots it well from deep and in the midrange and his size allows him to mix it up in the paint as well.

23) [player_tooltip player_id='2571766' first='Prodigy' last='Simms'] | 5'10” PG | Eastern Mennonite (#73 Overall)

Simms makes his debut in the rankings after having a huge junior season for EMHS, and he's one of the top players in the Harrisonburg area and is set to be one of the top scorers in the state this year. The 5'10” lead guard is a highly skilled shot maker who can create space off the bounce, he has in the gym range from deep, he's shifty and can get to spots in the midrange and at the rim and he's a good playmaker as well.

22) [player_tooltip player_id='1767518' first='Kenny' last='Chicas'] | 6'2” PG | Woodgrove (#69 Overall)

Chicas is one of the most underrated guards in the NOVA public school area, as he's been a rock for Woodgrove since his sophomore year and is as steady as they come running the show. He's a tone setter on both ends of the floor who can guard the ball and run the offense, he makes shots from all three levels, he creates shots for others and just impacts winning across the board.

21) [player_tooltip player_id='1521039' first='Ethan' last='Collins'] | 6'3” CG | Wise-Central (#67 Overall)

Collins has been one of the top players in SWVA since his freshman season at Wise, and is a two sport star that's getting recruited to play football as well. He's a big guard who plays and guards whatever position he has to on the floor, he's a good athlete who can get downhill and finishes well around the rim, he can create and make shots from all over the floor and he is a natural stat sheet stuffer.

20) [player_tooltip player_id='1259634' first='Gavin' last='Cormany'] | 6'2” CG | Oak Hill Red (#62 Overall)

Cormany was a standout for his Dad at Radford for three seasons leading them to a state championship appearance before transferring and reclassifying at Oak Hill Red where he's part of a very talented team that college coaches should check out. He's a highly skilled combo guard who shoots the cover off the ball from deep, he can create off the bounce and has great footwork to create space and he brings a lot of toughness on both ends of the floor.

19) [player_tooltip player_id='2451937' first='Adarius' last='Boston'] | 6'4” CG | King's Fork (#60 Overall)

Boston is one of the more intriguing long term guard prospects in the 757, as he has a lot of tools that translate well to the next level and still has a lot of room to get better moving forward. At 6'4” he has great size for a guard and can play both on and off the ball, he's a good athlete who makes plays on the defensive end, he makes shots from deep and in the midrange at a high clip and he competes on both ends of the floor.

18) [player_tooltip player_id='1225266' first='Jeremiah' last='Gorham'] | 5'10” PG | Highland School (#59 Overall)

Gorham sometimes gets overshadowed on such a deep Highland team, but this summer he showed he can compete with anyone and even be a go-to scoring threat as well. He's lightning quick off the bounce and very shifty with the ball in his hands, he can make tough shots from deep and in the midrange, he can make plays for others and he's a pest as an on ball defender.

17) [player_tooltip player_id='1956065' first='Jackson' last='Britt'] | 6'3” CG | Evergreen Christian (#47 Overall)

Britt is another player who had a great summer running with Higher Level, and he's set for a big time senior season for a very tough Evergreen Christian group. At 6'3” Britt has good size and plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor, he is a talented shot maker who can score it from multiple levels working both on and off the ball, he's surprisingly shifty and he's a high IQ playmaker as well.

16) [player_tooltip player_id='1494113' first='Camryn' last='Pacheco'] | 6'4” CG | Spotswood (#44 Overall)

Pacheco is perhaps the best prospect in the Harrisonburg area in this class, as he has consistently put up big numbers since he was a freshman and has been an All State selection as well. At 6'4” he checks the boxes physically and is an underrated athlete in the open floor, he makes shots from deep at a good clip off the catch, he can post up smaller guards and make tough shots and he is a competitor on both ends of the floor too.
