LONG BEACH — The annual Ron Massey Fall Hoops Classic at McBride high school featured many of SoCal's top high school programs and prospects. The two-day event provided a platform for high level competition as teams begin their tune-ups for the regular season. Below we take a look at the best scorers we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630617' first='Brayden' last='Burries'] | 2025 | Roosevelt

Burries is one of the premier prospects in the country and while he did a little bit of everything in helping Roosevelt secure the Ron Massey championship, his ability to score in every way imaginable stood out the most. The 6-foot-5 wing is a physical and athletic slasher and scorer in transition and half-court offense, can knock down the open three-point shot and create and hit mid-range jumpers off the bounce. Burries combination of skill, power, explosiveness and finesse at his size makes him one of the more efficient players in the country.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630632' first='EJ' last='Spillman'] | 2025 | Pacifica Christian/OC

Spillman had his full scoring arsenal on display in PCOC's win over Cooper Academy on Saturday. The 6-foot-3 guard finished with a game-high 26 points - most of which came by way of his bully-ball downhill drives and finishes through contact. Spillman's burly frame, combined with his shiftiness off the dribble makes him a tough cover for high school teams because of his ability to create space to score or power his way through contact for baskets in the painted area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1896210' first='Isaiah' last='Johnson'] | 2025 | Campbell Hall

The Vikings will be Johnson's team to lead this season as he's the main returner from a season ago. The University of Colorado-bound point guard has dynamic playmaking ability with the ball in his hands and that usually results in a high scoring total for the lefty. Johnson is a crafty shot creator who can get to the rim and finish in a variety of ways but he also has off-dribble shooting ability on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956461' first='Jason' last='Crowe Jr'] | 2026 | Inglewood

It is no surprise that Crowe is on this list as the junior guard has been near the top of the points per game lists in California and the country since he entered high school two years ago. The smooth lefty is a dynamic shot creator and shot maker off the bounce who often looks unconcerned about double teams, hands in his face on closeouts or rim protectors trying to stop his drives and finishes. Crowe finished with 34 points in a win over Campbell Hall while sitting much of the second half of action.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956462' first='Julius' last='Price'] | 2026 | St. Joseph

Price is a jump shooting machine who fills up the scoring column with his three-point and mid-range shooting abilities both off the catch and off the bounce. The 6-foot-3 junior is best in those perimeter scoring situations but he does have the physicality and athleticism to play amongst the trees around the basket. Price's strength and speed allow him to get downhill and into the body of rim protectors to score at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956542' first='Kaiden' last='Bailey'] | 2026 | Santa Margarita

Like many of the players on this list, Bailey is in the wired to score realm of guards who were at this event. The 6-foot-3 junior has deep range and unlimited confidence in his perimeter jumper off the dribble and uses savvy ball-handling ability to split defenders in ball-screen action and get to the paint where he can finish with a pull-up, floater or a creative layup. Bailey scored 34 points across two games while playing for Santa Margarita and "Belmont Shore."
