The Prep Hoops Florida Expo brought out some notable ballers, and a few players definitely caught the eye with their performances. From dominant finishes to smooth shooting, here's a breakdown of the notable top standouts.

Asa Rogosich | G | 2025 | Southwest Florida Christian | @AsaRogosich2025

Rogosich owned the court with a well-rounded game that kept defenders on their heels as he finished as my Player of the Day at the PH Expo. He showed a fantastic ability to initiate the offense while creating space and knocking down key shots. What made him stand out wasn't just his shot-making ability—though that was clear even in 5v5 action—it was his hustle and basketball IQ. Rogosich was active on both ends of the floor, displaying good hands on defense and consistently running the floor. His finishes around the rim were smooth, showcasing his ability to convert in traffic. Overall, Asa had one of the better days and proved he's a name to watch moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633088' first='Michael' last='Otero'] | G | 2026 | Rockledge | @MichaelOtero_14

Standing out as a physical, smaller guard, [player_tooltip player_id='1633088' first='Michael' last='Otero'] had one of the more impressive performances of the day. Otero, repping Rockledge High, displayed a lethal three-point shot and solid defensive pressure that helped him lock down opponents. Don't let his size fool you, his athleticism was a pleasant surprise. He showcased hops, finishing around the rim with confidence. Otero's energy and contributions on both ends of the floor make him a key player for Rockledge this upcoming season—don't sleep on the 2026 riser.

[player_tooltip player_id='2608440' first='Giovanni' last='Wright'] | G | 2025 | Williston | @shotime_gioo

Fresh off a state championship run with Williston, [player_tooltip player_id='2608440' first='Giovanni' last='Wright']'s stock is rising fast. The lefty guard brought vocal leadership and athleticism to the Expo. Known for his twitchy, explosive speed, Wright is a playmaker in transition and has a knack for finishing at the rim. While his shot took a couple quick games to start falling, once it did, he became even more dangerous. Expect Giovanni to build off this momentum and continue being a top-tier finisher this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2217891' first='Axel' last='Acevedo'] | PF | 2025 | Lakeland | @axelacevedo310

Acevedo has a major ability to dominate inside with his sheer size and physicality. The 2025 prospect has shown his skills to score in the paint while also facilitating for his teammates. What sets Acevedo apart is his awareness and willingness to make plays without the ball. His presence on the court draws defenders in, creating opportunities for others—a key trait for a big man still developing his offensive package. Look for Acevedo to continue making waves as his game evolves.

[player_tooltip player_id='2444908' first='Tyshaun' last='Tims'] | G | 2025 | Bloomingdale | @_theTyshaunTims

Tims brought the energy, both with his athleticism and his ability to create off the dribble. With a quick burst, Tims is a twitchy player who can attack the rim with a purpose. He hit a few smooth jumpers during the tournament and showed the versatility to both finish at the basket and stretch the defense. His speed was noticeable as a playmaker as he can cause problems for defenders and will be a dynamic presence for his team.
