The teams in PSAL and CHSAA are constantly looking to improve from season to season. For Brooklyn Collegiate, there were a couple of new faces at the open gym who warranted a closer look. Some caught our attention with freak athleticism. While others, utilized their length, strength, and IQ to make a difference on the floor. Here is a closer look at the underclassmen returning and joining Brooklyn Collegiate to compete for a city title this season.

Rhonni Skelton has the potential to be a knockdown shooter from behind the arc. Skelton's arms make him look taller than 6'4” and he has the athleticism to compete on both ends of the floor. At the open gym, Skelton displayed confidence and a smooth shooting stroke from downtown. A couple of those shots were made with defenders standing right in Skelton's face. Because of this teams will have to keep a constant eye on Skelton throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617761' first='Antonio' last='Bramble'] is an energizer bunny with an extended battery pack. Bramble didn't walk to get water during the open gym, he ran for that too. Often, Bramble found himself involved in nearly every loose ball and rebound when on the floor. Plus, Bramble is a superior athlete, showing off his bounce on several occasions. However his hustle is probably Bramble's biggest attribute. We expect Bramble to be a pest on defense and a terror in transition all season.

Tristan Walrond is a big man that will quickly make his presence felt in the PSAL. Walrond worked hard and competed on both ends of the floor for the entire open gym. Walrond uses his broad shoulders and strength to dominate opponents on the glass. In transition, Walrond runs well and his teammates rewarded him when they found him. Opposing bigs, will not be able to take a possession off, and as a shooter on the pick-and-roll; Walrond is committed to being a threat from deep.

[player_tooltip player_id='2770666' first='Cormac' last='Meehan'] will be an intriguing prospect to watch the next couple of years. At the open gym, Meehan looked confident, played strong and was quick to get the offense started when he had the ball. As a ball handler, Meehan is shifty and it often left his defenders in recovery mode. But Meehan wasn't always ready to throw up a shot. Meehan was able to keep his dribble alive and survey the defense for the best pass or shot. This addition, gives Brooklyn Collegiate another scoring guard that defenses will have to monitor at all times.

[player_tooltip player_id='2234303' first='Shane' last='Seymour'] is solid at 6'4” with a nice handle and basketball IQ. Seymour is strong but also has the athleticism to thrive in transition as well as play above the rim. But Seymour's ability to use his body while attacking the basket, will make him special. On defense, Seymour seemed to find the right place at the right time a lot. But as weak side help, Seymour also thwarted a lot of possessions. As one of the most intriguing underclassmen, we believe everyone should be taking a closer look at the potential of [player_tooltip player_id='2234303' first='Shane' last='Seymour'].
