In order to give a thorough breakdown of the many standouts from the event, I will be rolling out standouts all weeks in the different classes. Here's part four of five for some of the many senior standouts from VA teams in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2451940' first='John' last='Uzochukwu'] | 6'3” WG | LC Bird

Uzochukwu was a breakout player for LC Bird in their run to the state championship game last year, and so far in the fall he's showing he could be the breakout player in the Richmond area this year. The powerful 6'3” off guard has a knack for scoring which he showed with multiple big games including a 33 point game, he made shots off the bounce from deep and in the midrange, he finished well around the rim and he can fill it up in bunches when he gets it going.

Tyrese Williams | 6'3” WF | LC Bird

Williams is another senior that has shown quite the improvement for Bird going into this year, and he's a super valuable piece to the success of this group this year. He's perhaps their best perimeter defender with his length and willingness to guard the other team's best player, he brought a lot of toughness fighting for loose balls and playing with physicality, he made open shots off the catch with consistency and he worked well handling in the ball in transition too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571779' first='Curtis' last='Jordan'] | 6'2” WG | Norview

Jordan is a new name to get familiar with in the 757 as he was absolutely fantastic for the Pilots putting up big numbers and impacting the game on both ends of the floor. The 6'2” off guard showed good athleticism off the bounce getting to the rim at will and finishing well through contact, he scored it from multiple levels making tough midrange shots and knocking down shots from deep off the catch and he was very aggressive making plays on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1343624' first='Khalil' last='Caple'] | 6'4” WG | Norfolk Collegiate

Caple is one of the senior leaders for a Collegiate team that is very talented and could be making a run in the VISAA D2 classification this year, and he showed his versatility doing a little bit of everything for his team. He made shots from deep when he was left open, he showed great instincts defensively getting deflections and steals, he showed the ability to make plays for himself and others off the bounce and he used his length to finish well at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494098' first='Justin' last='Burrough'] | 6'7” WF | Norfolk Collegiate

Burrough is the other senior for this Collegiate team that is set to be one of the top players in the 757, as he's a walking mismatch with his blend of size, athleticism and skill set as a true 6'7” wing. He was dynamic in transition and getting downhill where he showed his athleticism to finish above the rim, he made shots from deep off the catch, he posted smaller guards and wings and was good on the glass as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571731' first='Jaylen' last='Wynn'] | 6'4” WG | Peninsula Catholic

Wynn has emerged as one of the top players in the 757 going into his senior season, and was great for PC as they beat a number of talented teams behind his leadership and steady play. At 6'4” he already has a college ready body and uses his strength around the rim to finish through contact, he made shots from all three levels, he is very good at getting downhill with his ability to change speeds and knife through the defense and he's a very good defender as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571786' first='Devin' last='Gaines'] | 6'0” CG | Peninsula Catholic

Gaines is another player that could have a breakout season for a talented PC team, as he was dynamic off the bounce and put up big numbers in all four of their games. The 6'0” guard was very tough to stay in front of with his wiggle and burst as he got downhill at will, he finished very well at the rim through traffic, he got to his pull-up and used floaters in the midrange and was very good guarding the ball as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571759' first='Elijah' last='Williams'] | 6'4” WF | Evergreen Christian

Williams is one of a number of new players for this Evergreen Christian team that is chock full of next level talent, and he was one of their most consistent players throughout the event. At 6'4” he has good positional size and length which he used defensively to challenge shots, he showed good ball skills with his ability to create shots off the bounce, he scored it well around the rim and was dynamic in transition as well.
