He has a very quick release on his perimeter shot and can very quickly rack up points just with his jumper. He also plays excellent defense and is often in the right place to scoop up a steal and dish or take it hard to the hoop. He earned himself a division 1-3 second-team all-UP nod last year and a first-team all-conference selection. He is quick to rack up a lot of steals and is excellent in a man-defense/one-on-one situation. Throw a zone at the Gremlins, and he's the first one to find the seems or an open shot from the wing. May seem odd to put two Gremlin players right next to each other, but these two play with a style that makes them a great one-two guard-forward combination. After watching the two of them play it is quick to notice that they have been playing together for a long time. His highlight clips are FULL of scoring from him, including a 32-point performance from last year where he scored 18 in one quarter alone against a very tough Jeffers team. On offense, he does an excellent job at finding seams in the defense and picking up on his defender's weaknesses. On defense he himself does a spectacular job of pestering offenders and forcing opponents mistakes. He is a very effective ball handler and an even more effective passer. He has a knack for finding smart passing lanes and setting up his teammates to score. But not to sell his shot selection short, because he can be very effective from beyond the arc. He and his Esky teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='2218003' first='Cody' last='Noel'] should make an excellent post presence for Escanaba this upcoming season. What I can tell you as I rank these athletes, the closer I get to number 1, the harder it is to differentiate. This is particularly accurate with Kyler. He is on a Marquette team that made some big waves last year, which is undoubtedly due to this young man's pure athletic contribution. Kyler is an extremely quick guard who showcases his talent and athleticism on a nightly basis. He is a hard worker and plays a style of basketball that is all hustle, 110% of the time. Kyler is also a very unselfish teammate and is always looking to advance his team before himself. He's fresh off of a next level offer from UW-Superior, and we expect to see further offers for him to play at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
