Slate showed his ability to score in a variety of ways while flashing his athleticism along the way. He has good positional size and showed reasons why his final two years are worth watching and keeping an eye on. Most of his promise came on the offensive end of the floor, as he has a solid skill set and instincts. Just as much as he showed promise, he showed room for a lot of growth as he did not play with a lot of intensity, and his play on the defensive end of the floor was non-existent. There is a lot to like about Slate's game, but he has room to grow in some areas before they become the reasons why college coaches keep their distance.

Charles Gersmehl (6'6/PF/'26/Gainesville HS)

Charles has good positional size and showed his basketball IQ in his play. He has an impressive middle game and showed his ability to put the rock on the floor and score off the bounce at the cup. He has good hands and a really soft touch in the paint. He showed he can be effective in tight spaces, as he does a great job making plays with and without the ball in his hands. He is a steady source of offensive production.

Jason Welborn (6'2/CG/'26/Decatur HS)

Jason made his living in the open floor, as he was really good at pushing the tempo and keeping his team in transition. He racked up steals and deflections, which led to numbers in the open court. Whether he finished the job or dished off to a teammate running lanes, Jason made sound decisions with the rock. He showed his athleticism as well as his two-way impact, and in the time that I saw him compete, he showed that he could get buckets.

Chris is a solid backcourt talent who produced on and off the ball. He flashed his athleticism while making plays for himself and his teammates. He is a dangerous scorer to be in isolation against, as several players found out. He is a tough shot-taker but showed he can also be a tough shot-maker. He was one of the younger guys in camp but made plays that contributed to winning. As he matures, his game will be one to keep monitoring.

Tyshaun Poore (6'0/PG/'26/Home State: TN)

Tyshaun is a small lead guard with a really quick first step that gives him the advantage a good amount of time when he is on the court. He is difficult to contain as he lived in the paint throughout the day. He was in attack mode as he knifed his way through defenders and either made plays at the rim or drew fouls to get to the line. Shot creation comes naturally, he's a good ball-handler in pick-and-roll action, and in any scenario when the floor is spaced for him to work consider the advanatage going to Tyshaun, because most likely, he is about to punish the defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194862' first='Jack' last='Boehm'] (CG/'27/Altamont HS)

I believe Jack was in attack mode when I saw him entering the gym. He had a solid day in drill work, 3v3, and 5v5. He also put constant pressure on the rim and showed his ability to knock down the perimeter shot. He is a stable playmaker, a creative scorer, and a good finisher in the paint. Jack isn't the most athletic guy I saw today, but he did a good job outworking most in the building. He was one of the youngest in the building and caught my eyes early and made plays that kept my eyes on him. UAB may be a stretch for him right now, but if he stays in the lab, he has the game to find his way to the next level.
