Before we dive into the players, as I always do with players at this age, I want to say I saw some promising aspects of these players' games. However, all of them still have a lot of work to do, especially when it comes to their fundamentals and understanding of how to play the game the right way.

Derrick brought a lot of energy to the court, whether he was in the game or not. When out, he was vocal and cheering his squad on. When in the game, he did a really good job initiating the offense and getting his teammates involved. He showed a developing feel for the game and showed his ability to score and facilitate. He doesn't have a lot of size right now, but he is playing the right way at an early age.

Aran has a developing versatile game as he was one of the biggest kids in the younger division. He showed that he could initiate the offense, score off the bounce, score from the perimeter, and be a playmaker with the rock in his hands. For the most part, he was just too big and created mismatches with whoever stepped up to defend him. His size and scoring craft help him stand out at this age. He takes a lot of shots from deep and is a streaky shooter at best at this stage of his development. He got flashy in transition by going through his legs for a layup, which isn't something he has to show in his game, with so many fundamental areas still needing development. Mastering the fundamentals over the flash will help his game go further on his basketball journey.

He obviously has been in the gym and working on the long ball, and if he develops into a three-point specialist, he has to make sure other aspects of his game accompany his three-point scoring prowess. He has work to do, but on day one at the showcase, the three-ball stood out.

Ian had the stroke from deep working. Like Isaac Williams from above, Ian was one of the best at scoring it from deep. He is a major threat from deep in his c&s opportunities. He has to continue working on his game outside of the trey ball, especially putting the ball on the floor and creating his offense when he is run off the line. Working on his speed is also an area for growth, which will come in handy as he continues his basketball journey. As I said with Isaac, I will say it about Ian: he has work to do, but on day one at the showcase, the three-ball stood out.

Jameson was one of, if not the best, interior presence in the younger division. Now, that is not a co-sign statement to keep him in the paint just because he is bigger than a lot of his peers. He finished well around the rim, showed good hands, and was active on the boards as he made his presence felt in the post. As he continues to develop his game, I am sure those around him will continue to play him in the post, but I want to encourage his inner circle to make sure that he is getting just as much work on his perimeter skills as he is on his post skills.

King is a small lead guard but plays with a lot of heart and grit. It is impressive to see his ability to handle the rock, knife his way through defenses, and finish amongst the bigs of the opposing teams. His craftiness at the rim left me sometimes questioning how he made that. His low center of gravity made it tough for opposing defenders to keep up with him off the bounce. King even showed his ability to knock down the trey ball. Outside of his offense, I was really impressed with his tenacity on the defensive end of the floor. I always talk about smaller guards having to have that pit-bill mentality and play harder and more aggressively than anyone else on the floor, and you can see that aspect of the game developing in King.
