1.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2511580' first='Cameron' last='Gibson'] (Chariton) -- 184 assists

Gibson isn't a big scorer, averaging fewer points (6.3) than assists (8.0) as a junior, but he's the straw that stirs the drink for the Chargers potent offensive attack, putting his teammates in positions to succeed with his ability to create off the dribble and hit them in stride for good looks.

2.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1978103' first='Alec' last='Lovely'] (Treynor) -- 131

Lovely firmly established himself as one of the best young guards in the state last season with his play at the state tournament. He's a quick guard with great instincts, handles, and vision who loves to get his teammates involved. He does a great job protecting the ball, and is also a dynamic three-level scorer. He averaged 10.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals a game on 49-41-80 splits last season and will be the focal point for the Cardinals as a junior.

3.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759944' first='Carson' last='Kanne'] (Kuemper Catholic) -- 126

The floor general for one of the state's most potent offenses, Kanne posted an eye-popping 4.07 assist-to-turnover ratio last season, showing that he takes care of the ball extremely well and does a great job setting his teammates up. In addition to his passing skills, he's also a knockdown shooter off both the dribble and the catch, burying 39.2% of his 3-point attempts last season.

t4.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2511610' first='Matthew' last='Elbert'] (Central Lyon) -- 125

A pass-first lead guard, Elbert had more than twice as many assists as the next player on the team last season for the Lions. The 6-0 guard will probably be asked to step into a slightly more significant scoring role this season, but he's at his best when he's playing the role of distributor and keeping the offense humming.

t4.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2397994' first='Pierson' last='White'] (Camanche) -- 125

A point-forward who loves to get his teammates involved, White led the Storm in assists per game last season, dishing out 5.7 helpers. He has great size at 6-4 and uses his physical frame to get onto the block and find open teammates or see the floor out of the high post area.

t4.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1874767' first='Brady' last='Weber'] (Mid-Prairie) -- 125

Weber is a quick 5-9 lead guard who looks to push the tempo whenever he can, pacing a Golden Hawks offensive attack that loves to get 3-pointers up in bunches.

7.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2511611' first='Kyler' last='White'] (North Fayette Valley) -- 121

A 5-11 lead guard, White isn't much of a scorer, averaging just 3.8 points a game last season, but he does a great job getting his teammates involved and limiting turnovers, posting a better than 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio as a junior.

8.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1765519' first='Brady' last='Gogel'] (Monticello) -- 120

Gogel was great as a distributor as a sophomore for the Panthers, leading the team in assists and posting a fantastic 4.62 assist-to-turnover ratio. He's a disciplined guard who doesn't get sped up, can attack off the dribble and get the defense to collapse, and he clearly has good vision and instincts.

9.) 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2420786' first='AJ' last='Harder'] (Tri-Center) -- 118

Harder was one of the most productive freshmen in the state last season, leading the Trojans in scoring (16.1), assists (5.1), and steals (2.5) last season while shooting nearly 42% from behind the arc. He's a high IQ guard with good pace, handles, and vision.

10.) 2025 Chase Christensen (Northeast) -- 116

Christensen does a nice job protecting the ball, posting a 2.52 assist-to-turnover ratio as a junior for the Rebels. He plays with good pace, doesn't get sped up, and does a nice job initiating the offense for Northeast.
