Lets take a peek of the upcoming players in the 2026 class. This class is very strong and getting stronger by the day due to scouts and evaluators (like ourselves) scouring events around the state and AAU circuits finding undiscovered prospects and following up with their progress and activity. The 2026's at the Hoop Summit had the task of playing against many super talented 2025 prospects, many who are already offered, and we think they fared very well.

The field of 2026 players at the August 3rd event was stronger than expected as players we've not seen previously are making the efforts to be seen. While in Morgantown many of the 2026's made huge impacts, while some simply just showed they belong at that level with a gym full of college prospects. One of the pleasant surprises was [player_tooltip player_id='2484384' first='Braylon' last='Berry'] who we noticed right away making some impressive plays. Berry did a nice job operating breaks and finding creases to distribute the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='2306139' first='Logan' last='Boyce'] was also on hand and the sure college prospect point guard continues to show why scouts love him. He does such a great job facilitating but also noticing when the offense breaks down and he can ad-lib himself into a bucket. Boyce does a nice job playing on ball defense as well and that's what makes him recruitable. [player_tooltip player_id='2243498' first='Marcus' last='Goins'] came in from across town and showed a nice skill-set. Goins will be a huge contributer for returning 4A champ Morgantown High.

[player_tooltip player_id='2388364' first='Kaden' last='Keener'] was another pleasant surprise as it was our first time seeing him play along with Peterstown's [player_tooltip player_id='2385111' first='Caden' last='Ours']. Both players were solid and showed why they would likely be household names by season's end. [player_tooltip player_id='2303389' first='Jeremy' last='Phillips'] was yet another player we were anxious to see in person. Phillips had an impressive showing and lived up to his billing. [player_tooltip player_id='2306368' first='Tavarish' last='Porter-Martin'] was in the house and got to further show his ability. T-Man is likely to move into a bigger role for the South Charleston squad this season. Porter-Martin has big potential and shows flashes of where his ceiling might be. [player_tooltip player_id='2382671' first='Caden' last='Ray'] like most others was another making his debut in front of us, and we felt he was exactly what his preceding scouting report showed. Smart, skilled and intense. [player_tooltip player_id='2444056' first='Aiden' last='Scheidler'] actually turned a few heads even in warm ups. Hard to ignore an athletic 6'5" frame that moves like a guard. I think he'll have a huge part of Huntington High's success this coming season. [player_tooltip player_id='2437056' first='Tyce' last='Day'] who we'd seen in June was on hand and was exactly who we thought he was. Day shoots it from deep very well, handles the ball well and knows how to use his body.

The last group to mention are the post players of the 2026 group who are always the eye-catchers when scouts get to the gym. [player_tooltip player_id='2164534' first='Waylon' last='Colistra'] is one of the 2026 class's top prospects we believe. A skilled deep threat as well as effective and efficient in the paint, Colistra simply gets it done whether he's in a structured system or playing more lose and free. [player_tooltip player_id='2243496' first='Zayden' last='Neely'] is a player we had seen for the first time in Myrtle Beach and were very happy to see him and get a chance to evaluate once again. Neely is an absolute warrior in the paint. Against bigger and more experience posts, Neely battled hard and never gave up on a play and eventually adjusted to the speed of the game and made some plays with the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1851975' first='Max' last='Olejasz'] immediately caught some coaches eyes and played his usual consistent and highly efficient basketball. If you've ever seen Max play you'll know he always ends up in the right spot, makes the right play and rarely turns it over. We think he's a lock to play at the next level considering his size and raw talent. Lastly, [player_tooltip player_id='2303399' first='Anden' last='Santamaria'] killed it on August 3rd displaying yet again a few things I hadn't seen earlier. Anden moves without the ball so well and is simply smooth finishing plays whether its a lay in or a thunderous dunk.
